Acaya Golf Club near Otranto in Puglia
Just south of Otranto is the 18-hole Acaya golf course in Puglia. Without a doubt, it is one of the noblest in southern Italy. This is mainly due to the sophisticated clubhouse, the 5-star golf hotel and the fine cuisine of the golf course's own restaurant.
The golf course was planned and realized by Davide Mezzacane impressively between two large lakes and in the midst of the typical landscape at the border to the nature reserve of the Cesine, for a golf trip to Puglia Acaya is ideal.
Oak woods, olive groves and the medieval castle of Acaya dominate the panorama, while the Adriatic sea is only a stone's throw away. Acaya golf course is mainly aimed at experts, there are long high shots to be made, most of the fairways can be reached only through rocky and wooded sections.
How to get there:
From Bari in the direction of Brindisi-Lecce. Exit to San Cataldo. Take the Superstrada and follow the signs for Otranto. After 5 km the first signs for the golf course.
