Golf Club Milano in Lombardia
What is more suitable to create a golf course than a historical and vast park near a big city? Right, usually nothing at all. This is also the case with the Milano Golf Course in Lombardia. Only 20 km from the metropolis, the golf course was founded in 1928 in the park of Monza. This used to be the seat of the Austrian Emperor, and the English parkland seemed perfect for a golf course.
Today the golf course has 27 holes (18-hole: par 72; 9-hole: par 36), of which the first 9 are more than demanding. Here, foresighted play is required, precision and a lot of feeling. Good players are challenged here. The Golf Club Milano has often been the venue of the Open d'Italia.
How to get there:
Milan, Tangeziale Est drive north to Vimercate, exit at "uscita" 20. Turn right and drive towards Arcore-Villasanta. After 4 km exit at Villasanta, turn right at the first traffic light, follow signs to San Giorgio and from here those to the golf course.
