Modena Golf & Country Club
Amidst centuries-old oaks and ancient villages, at an altitude of about 100 meters, lies the Modena Golf & Country Club. The golf course was created in 1987 by a group of local entrepreneurs and designed by German champion Bernhard Langer and American architect Jim Engh.
The course covers more than 100 hectares and features wide greens and fairways, numerous bunkers and five artificial lakes that blend harmoniously with the surrounding nature. The course is suitable for both novice and expert golfers and is considered one of the best in Italy. It has also been the venue of important tournaments such as the Italian Open, which celebrated its 50th anniversary here.
Two courses are available to golf lovers: the "Bernhard Langer" Championship Course (18 holes, par 72, 6,423 meters, opened in 1990) and the Executive Course (9 holes, par 27, 976 meters). The driving range and a large driving range with indoor simulator round out the facilities.
However, sports enthusiasts do not have to limit themselves to golf, as the facility also offers two tennis courts, a gymnasium and a beautiful outdoor swimming pool. For a break, an apéritif and a few pleasant hours, the Club House offers a bar, an excellent restaurant, rooms where you can play cards or watch TV, a billiards room and a wellness area with sauna and relaxation zones.
If you miss something or want to renew your equipment, you can count on a well-stocked pro store available to members and guests.
