Circolo del Golf Roma Acquasanta in Lazio
The golf club Circolo del Golf Roma Acquasanta is beautifully situated between old ruins from the Roman times in a rather flat terrain. It was founded in 1903 to offer statesmen from all over the world, who had business in Rome, a sporty compensation to their work.
The 18-hole course was the first golf course in Italy and features many water hazards. Tall pine and cypress trees line the fairways. The Roma Acquasanta golf course is considered extremely prestigious, which is reflected in the price of green fees, among other things. However, anyone planning a posh golf vacation in Lazio should not miss this jewel among golf courses.
How to get there:
From Rome center, take Via Appia Nuova to street number 716/A: a column on the right marks the location of the golf course. Alternative: Take subway line A to Arco di Traventino station. Here follow signs to the nearby Gold Square.
