Reviews

Giulietta 23. November travelled as Young couple + A very well-maintained hotel with extremely friendly staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner is very courteous and helpful. He was happy to advise us and give us tips for hikes, and even held a wine seminar especially for us. The breakfast was excellent and had everything you could want. There's also a very good espresso machine, and we enjoyed our best espresso ever there. The room was also very nice. Dinner is rather upscale, and the portions are quite small, designed for a multi-course meal. The food was delicious. We felt completely at ease.
Andrea 19. November travelled as 0 + This is my second time staying at this beautiful property. Spacious rooms. Spa with mountain views. Peace and quiet among the apple orchards, just steps from Merano. Stefan, the owner, is always smiling and available. Next time I'll try the restaurant... 10 out of 10 for breakfast. Thank you.
Johann 18. November travelled as Young couple + A very welcoming hotel with friendly staff and excellent cuisine (we had half-board with a 5-course dinner). We would definitely come back.
Barbara 16. November travelled as Group of friends + A beautiful hotel, perfect for relaxing. The staff are very friendly and professional, the food is delicious, and the rooms are gorgeous. This is the second time I've chosen it for its comfort and to spend a completely relaxing weekend, and I think I'll be back many more times.
Gregor 13. November travelled as Group of friends + Overall, a very successful stay. Superb service, individual requests were fully accommodated, the staff were highly dedicated, and the panoramic room was very spacious and absolutely spotless. The quality of the food was particularly outstanding.
manfred 11. November travelled as Young couple + Highly competent and professional hosts and team. Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. Creative and contemporary half-board menu. Rooms with beautiful views and modern furnishings. Excellent value for money.
Chef 11. November travelled as Group of friends + Excellent hotel, in a strategic and excellent location, friendly and knowledgeable staff, 5-star breakfast. A guarantee.
Giovanni 11. November travelled as 0 + Everything was fantastic, from the rooms to the restaurant service, we had a great time.
Leo 09. November travelled as 0 + Thank you very much.
Marcello 09. November travelled as 0 + Excellent hotel. The location, the service, and the attention to detail will compel you to return. It was truly a wonderful experience!
I 09. November travelled as 0 + We spent four days there hiking. Great location, excellent food, lovely spa, and very good service. We also had a very nice room in the hotel's new building. We'd love to come back!
Tahmineh 06. November travelled as Group of friends + Highly recommend! Super customer-oriented and attentive to every wish. Everything is spotless, the staff are friendly, and the food is excellent. Perfect location right by one of the most popular wine trails!
luca 02. November travelled as Young couple + Weekend stay 1/2 November, modern and quiet room, classy furnishings, very comfortable bed, friendly staff.
Markus 31. October travelled as Family with smaller children + We spent a relaxing week in a very pleasant atmosphere. The outstanding cuisine, the extensive spa facilities, and the yoga classes were particularly noteworthy. The guest pass provided by the hotel allows free use of buses and trains, so you can leave your car behind – a real bonus for relaxation!
Michael 28. October travelled as Young couple + Everything was fine, although there was some deferred maintenance in various areas. Prices were a bit too high for the service and location.
Christoph 24. October travelled as Young couple + We stayed at the hotel over the weekend and really enjoyed it. Truly outstanding cuisine, a very high-quality breakfast, a fantastic, large wellness area, and a beautiful location above Merano. Above all, the staff and service were first-class. We'll be back. Thank you very much for everything.
Manfred 15. October travelled as 0 + A comfortable hotel with a fantastic panoramic location (view of Merano) and a lovely terrace. Unfortunately, it quickly became shady in the afternoon (in September). Beautiful rooms. Fantastic food (half board). A fantastic wine cellar, with very reasonable prices. A very friendly and competent host, and mostly pleasant service staff. However, we had to wait quite a long time for the food (a 5-course menu each evening) on two of the four evenings.
Tobias 06. October travelled as Family with smaller children + This is our third time vacationing at the Pazeider. We once again received a wonderful room. We would like to thank you again for the upgrade. A beautiful organic hotel with a lot of heart and attention to detail! The ambiance, the view, and the sustainable concept are simply fantastic – you immediately feel at home and at a relaxed pace. The food was excellent, fresh, and regional. One small downside: The service was a bit inattentive at times – but always friendly and attentive. Overall, a wonderful place to relax and enjoy yourself. We will definitely be back! The Hartmann family
Petra 04. October travelled as 0 + Beautiful hotel with views of the apple orchards stretching all the way to Merano. Very friendly and helpful staff. A great base for cycling and hiking, as well as for a stroll through Merano.
B 30. September travelled as Solo-Traveller + The hotel largely met our expectations for our stay. The staff (service/reception/room service) deserve special mention. The breakfast was varied. The coffee machine in the self-service area was frequently broken, and some rolls were out of stock. This should be improved and proactively remedied. Several facilities are visibly showing their age (swimming pool/window frame/rear terrace) and should be renovated soon. All pizzas are highly recommended. Important for dog owners: The hotel's own spring contains a high concentration of fluoride, which is highly toxic to dogs. We left €300.00 with the vet. This must be declared at the filling station in the wellness area. The hotel management was unimpressed and offered no apology. Whether a notice has been posted there since then is beyond my knowledge. Our room matched the description, but the TV reception and Wi-Fi were very disruptive. Addendum September 30, 2025: It's not about our dog being poisoned. Fluoride in this high concentration is toxic to any dog. Has the necessary notice been posted at the filling station in the meantime? Yes or no?
Elena 24. September travelled as 0 + Wonderful experience! The waiters and receptionists were very kind. Thanks to the waiter who remembered the cane sugar . Aside from a few minor details in the room, I can't really complain about anything. The breakfast buffet was plentiful. The food was perfect; the entire menu was excellent. The spa was clean and truly relaxing. Elena
Iris 16. September travelled as Young couple + We booked 5 nights in the Pazeide Suite. At first glance, it looks stylish, but... The toilet is only accessible via the shower (!), so if you've showered beforehand, the floor is wet, and this dual-use area is tiny. There's no storage space in the shower, just a wobbly dispenser with an undefined content. The whirlpool in the room is very large; if it had been made a bit smaller, there would have been more space for the shower and toilet. Next to the sunbathing lawn is a covered area for children, a good idea, but it's so cluttered and messy that children certainly can't play there! The hotel itself needs some cosmetic repairs. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our conclusion: for a 4-star hotel, it's too small in all areas and not worth the money!
Andrea 05. September travelled as Young couple + We would like to thank you again for the wonderful stay. We were satisfied with both the excellent service and the accommodation...booked and received the Comfort Plus mountain-facing room. The panoramic window was my highlight. The food, especially the gourmet pizza, was a delight. Everything at breakfast was also perfect. Homemade bread, a huge selection of rolls and cakes, fresh fruit and juices, organic eggs, freshly prepared cheese, sausage, everything your heart desires. The service staff are friendly, and Lorenzzo, in particular, does a great job. Furthermore, my husband sought medical attention after a minor bicycle accident and was pleased with the professional treatment he received in the wellness area. The swimming pool and sauna were top-notch. We will definitely be back. Dear Mr. Kofler, where there are people, there are people :)) I will always remember this.
Simone 03. September travelled as Young couple + Very great, friendly, professional service, excellent breakfast - leaves nothing to be desired, delicious wines and food, very tasteful, super clean rooms with great amenities and panoramic windows, great little wellness area
Betty 03. September travelled as 0 + The hotel is overall nice, but it doesn't live up to our expectations. We had booked a suite with a jacuzzi, but a "suite" normally looks like something else... First of all, the lack of a coffee machine or even a simple kettle is truly regrettable, almost unacceptable. These amenities are available even in 2-star hotels... Regarding the "Wellness" aspect: where's the body lotion, the vanity kit, or a good shampoo? No, here, there's only one bottle hanging on the wall, with a 3-in-1 product: conditioner, shower gel, and shampoo? Honestly... For a hotel that sells itself as a wellness hotel, I definitely expected more. Around the jacuzzi, there are old, burnt-out tea lights, probably an attempt to create a romantic atmosphere, but it's a complete failure... It's understandable that you don't want to throw everything away immediately, but then, use them for the restaurant, relight them, so no one notices that they're already "used." But in a suite, it's simply not aesthetically pleasing. Regarding dinner, I'd first like to point out that the food was very tasty and beautifully presented. The pizzas, on the other hand, were very bland. But as for the service, it's simply disastrous! It starts with the lack of menus on the tables in the evening. You can't remember what you chose in the morning. Then: as soon as you sit down, you're already served salad, even though you haven't even ordered an aperitif yet (!). The hotel wasn't at all full, so the waiters were clearly not overwhelmed. There's no communication between the servers; some don't even know what the "drinks included" menu includes. No table is assigned to a specific server, which would greatly simplify organization. We're at dessert, and the aperitif glasses are still on the table. There are so many little details, rookie mistakes. We ordered a prosecco, a beer, and a bottle of water all at the same time. What was missing? Water. And yet, the order was placed with the same server, at the same time. Sometimes we get the drinks menu, sometimes we don't. Every night, it's a total freestyle. What's going on? One night, we're waiting for the main course, and dessert is brought to us. Or: we're eating the main course, and the server asks, "Can we bring you the main course now?" ... while we're eating it!? As for the duration, the servers put a lot of pressure on us and didn't give us time to appreciate the dishes. We felt they wanted us to eat quickly. In 45 minutes, we ate four courses—there was no time management in the kitchen. The atmosphere, supposed to be that of a five-course dinner, was very poorly conveyed. In short, for a hotel that prides itself on its culinary excellence and precision, we clearly expected professional service, provided by experienced servers, not by people with little motivation to work seriously.
bernhard 10. August travelled as Young couple + So beautiful, and the service so friendly, the best yet. Highly recommended. 5 stars+ for us.
Babs 02. August travelled as Family with smaller children + We stayed in apartment 312, which is dated compared to the stylish hotel rooms. The apartment is spacious but lacks atmosphere: the living room is bare, with cold lighting and no decoration. The bathroom is old and the kitchenette small, without hot water and with limited cutlery. The Wi-Fi barely worked in the apartment. All of this is in stark contrast to the hotel's character. The bedrooms were comfortable: spacious, with good beds, plenty of closet space, and electric shutters. It was a shame there were no TVs in the bedrooms – only in the rather uninviting living room. The terrace was pleasant, with good furniture and a beautiful view of the pool, the apple orchards, and Merano. There was some noise from the pool and disturbing background noise from the highway and the train at the back of the hotel. The daily service was excellent: always plenty of towels, including bathrobes. It was just a shame that the toiletries weren't replenished, and the soap and shampoo dispenser didn't match the hotel's image. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic: extensive, fresh, and delicious. Dinner was also refined, with a nice wine list. We would have preferred the portions to be a bit larger. It was great that you could choose from a daily menu, à la carte, or homemade pizza. The hotel has a pleasant and stylish atmosphere. Soft classical or jazz music played during dinner; in the mornings, it was usually relaxing, sometimes pop, which we didn't really care for. The wellness center was very well-maintained, with a lovely, quiet relaxation area. We didn't use any treatments. The staff was friendly and helpful – a problem with a lamp was resolved immediately. However, we did notice that things were a bit chaotic at times: there seems to be no clear coordinator. The hotel is ideally located for excursions and walks. There are bus and train stops nearby, and you get a free public transport pass – very convenient. There is ample parking, both outdoor and covered. This is an excellent hotel in terms of value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday!
Peter 26. July travelled as Young couple + A beautiful hotel in Malling near Merano. A wonderful wellness area, a very quiet yet central location. The food and staff are excellent and highly recommended. It's very clean.
Peti 17. July travelled as 0 + The hotel really delivers mega️Unfortunately the outdoor pool is too small and could be improved.
Gilberto 17. July travelled as Family with smaller children + The property is located on the side of a mountain overlooking Merano, surrounded by apple orchards, with a stunning view, even from the mountain-facing rooms. The welcome lived up to expectations; Mr. D'Angelo and Joanna at reception showed us everything the hotel has to offer, and believe me, there's a lot. Our family room was perfect for four people, with all the necessary amenities and tasteful furnishings and accessories. The most impressive feature, which I've never found in other hotels, is the air conditioning/cooling system, so efficient that it doesn't bother you with the noise, drafts, or odors that can sometimes be found with traditional air conditioners. Regarding the restaurant: it's hard to find better, with a daily menu that satisfies both health-conscious guests and those like me who aren't watching their weight. If you choose the half-board option, you can enjoy everything from appetizers to dessert without having to worry about anything other than enjoying the delicacies on offer. As for amenities: outdoor pool, children's play area, relaxation areas with loungers, indoor pool, sauna, Turkish bath, quiet area with herbal teas, and a choice of massages (all prices vary, of course). I hope I haven't bored you, but even just three days surrounded by impeccable, unobtrusive service are worth a visit.
Heiko 06. July travelled as Family with smaller children + We had a fantastic stay at the Hotel Patzender in Marling. The hotel boasts excellent amenities, a great restaurant, and an outstanding wellness area – perfect for relaxing after a hike. The various saunas and pools are inviting and extremely well-maintained. The gourmet pizzas in the restaurant are particularly noteworthy – a true culinary highlight! The service was also consistently friendly and attentive. A real plus: the hotel's own e-mountain bikes, which we used for an 80 km tour. The bikes were in perfect condition and ideal for excursions into the beautiful surroundings. In summary: An all-round successful hotel for connoisseurs, active vacationers, and those seeking relaxation. We would love to come back!
Roman 06. July travelled as Young couple + This hotel is excellent, everything is super clean and beautiful. Amazing views and big spa with different saunas made our rest after mountain hikes on the highest level. The restaurant deserves separate comment , because the dishes was unbelievably delicious and the experience was amazing with those local products and diverse tastes. Breakfast on the highest level. Definitely recommend
Bernhard 05. July travelled as Young couple + Highly recommended for a short break. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. The wellness treatments are also highly recommended. We had half board. Breakfast: Everything your heart desires. Fresh produce. Dinner: The 5-course menu was always excellent! We'll be back.
Mathieu 04. July travelled as 0 + Amazing hotel! I would recommend a balcony with the view, it's worth it!
Günter 24. June travelled as Family with smaller children + A beautiful, dog-friendly hotel. Here you feel safe
Vanessa 21. June travelled as Family with smaller children + We had a three-day stay at the hotel, where I celebrated my birthday, among other things. We were surprised with cake and prosecco, and the table was lovingly decorated! Service was top-notch, as was the wellness area. The view was fantastic, and there was a great selection of local dishes, including vegetarian and vegan options. We'd love to come back
chiara 20. June travelled as 0 + Nice hotel but for the price I expected something more. I stayed in a suite with half board for one night The staff was very kind and friendly both at the reception and in the room The room was very nice but for a suite maybe a little more attention was needed. The bathroom was large but without a bidet… The bed was comfortable and probably equipped with a mechanism to lift the mattress but it didn't work. Empty fridge and only one bottle of hot water. The thing that left me most perplexed was finding almost all the indications and brochures in the room including the restaurant menu for dinner written only in German…not even in English. The breakfast was really very rich and varied
Mathis 19. June travelled as 0 + Very nice
Carsten 16. June travelled as Family with smaller children + I like: the familiar and personal atmosphere, the great view of Merano, the fantastic pizza and the classic-modern rooms with lots of style!
Oliver 15. June travelled as Family with smaller children + A very good hotel in a prime location. Friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast buffet was always very well prepared. The outdoor facilities and pool area are very well maintained. There are plenty of parking spaces. Those who wish can use an underground parking space for a fee.
Manu 11. June travelled as Young couple + Simply beautiful. Very friendly staff, great food, and a lovely spa area.
C. 01. June travelled as Young couple + From the moment you book directly at the hotel with the extremely friendly and competent Lena until your departure, you'll feel completely at home. The modern rooms with their wonderful balconies and fantastic views over Merano are particularly noteworthy. The exceptional breakfast with many homemade baked goods (special tip: the croissants) on the sun terrace – nestled in a beautiful garden – the friendly service, and the beautiful wellness area (including various saunas with views of the Algund) round out the experience.
The 24. April travelled as Family with smaller children + My stay at the Hotel Pazeider was excellent all around. The hotel boasts a stunning location with beautiful views of the surrounding vineyards. The room was modern, very clean, and furnished with great attention to detail. I was particularly impressed by the wellness area – perfect for relaxation. The breakfast was plentiful, with many regional products, and the staff was always friendly and attentive. I felt welcome from the very first moment and will definitely be back!
Markus 23. April travelled as Young couple + The hotel was absolutely perfect, unfortunately the food service was poor.
Margreth 08. April travelled as Family with smaller children + We had a few very nice days and will definitely come back ️
Peter 09. January travelled as Young couple + A very nice wellness hotel, incredibly friendly and attentive staff, fresh and delicious food, a warm pool, a beautiful sauna area, and a Kneipp treatment area. The massage treatments are definitely recommended, and Merano and Bolzano are within easy reach. Thank you for the wonderful short break, we'll see you again. Best wishes, see you soon
Marco 06. January travelled as Young couple + Super relaxing experience at the Pazeider, we ate and slept wonderfully, a pampering recharge before returning to work! Excellent location, just outside Merano, stunning views, perfectly designed glass surfaces, always feeling like you're outdoors, spacious, quiet, and wonderfully air-conditioned rooms. The price is very competitive for what they offer, the staff is very attentive, precise, they pay attention to detail, they observe and anticipate your needs. Breakfasts and dinners are absolutely excellent, the real strength of the hotel. Meticulously prepared, sometimes it's a shame to eat the dishes because they are so beautifully presented, delicate flavors that don't mean bland, of course, valuable and quality ingredients... even the Neapolitan pizza and the homemade bread... there are no words to describe their deliciousness, 10/10 cuisine for what we're concerned about. The only thing, but maybe it's just my feeling, is that I found the temperature a little low. The pool water and the air around the pool... just half a degree or a maximum of one degree warmer would change things... but it could also be my misperception. In any case, an excellent hotel and staff that lived up to every expectation, it's your organic hotel for a regenerating holiday in Merano!
Guido 06. January travelled as 0 + Excellent hotel with a well-deserved 4-star rating. Located a 7-minute drive from Merano on a raised hill, it offers stunning views of the city and the mountains. It's nestled between a secondary railway and the highway (not visible), but thanks to the perfect soundproofing, it almost feels like they're not there. The rooms and hotel are clean. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, and the breakfast is amazing. If we were to find a flaw: the spa has an indoor cold-water pool, and the sauna area with pool is nudist-only (this wasn't stated on booking).
Oscar 05. January travelled as 0 + I stayed for three nights in a suite with a beautiful view, although partially obscured by the TV (or not). The room was spacious and the bathroom adequate, although it lacked a bidet—a questionable choice. Room cleaning was okay. The reception staff were punctual and courteous, and the breakfast was quality, though the service was subpar. The spa offered a wide selection, but unfortunately, there were many people in swimsuits in areas where it was prohibited. There should be more supervision, including to maintain "silence" in the relaxation area. Personally, I don't appreciate the decision to allow even small children, even if accompanied, in the nude wellness area; I didn't feel comfortable. Even in the suite, I wasn't offered a garage for my car, which I had to park for three nights in a dirt area with potholes and no lighting, making it dangerous. P.S. There's no thermostat in the room, so you have to call reception to set the desired temperature.
Giorgia 05. January travelled as Young couple + Very welcoming and clean rooms, the reception staff were very friendly and helpful, the location was excellent, and the view from the room was truly breathtaking! The breakfast was good; the freshly made omelettes were much appreciated! Unfortunately, the spa was a bit disappointing because the pool water was as cold as the room temperature! In the evening, we dined at the hotel restaurant, and the staff left much to be desired. A unique menu with overpriced dishes that are very easy to replicate at home. Nothing gluten-free, although I was told they did pizza (but they didn't specify that I had to order at least a day in advance). All in all, not bad!
Kerim 29. December travelled as Family with smaller children + Really nice hotel with a small swimming pool, sauna and spa where you can book some massage. The hotel is conveniently located less than 10 minutes walking from Marlengo train / bus station (pls. kindly note that it is not Merano town). The owner, Stefano is very nice and kind to the guests personally participating in welcoming. We stayed in Christmas period 2024 and would like to particularly share our gratitude and thanks to restaurant employee named Lorenzo, he has been most pleasant, welcoming and kind. In overall great place.
Raol 23. December travelled as Young couple + Stunning, clean. Beautiful. Relaxing. The saunas, the relaxation area, the view. A work of art. I recommend the restaurant in the evening. Impeccable service. We thank Massimo and his colleagues for their excellent work.
Rainer 14. November travelled as Young couple + Great hotel outside of Merano, easily accessible via the free bus. Great food, great breakfast
Anna-Maria 12. November travelled as Young couple + A fantastic organic hotel! Be sure to add the evening menu; the food is a true culinary delight! Spectacular views, fantastic leisure opportunities with the guest card! (Very good offers, especially free ones, beautiful museums, etc. – which are very detailed and lovingly designed). The rooms are very clean and modern. The service is very friendly, and it seems like there's a great atmosphere among the staff here. There's also a sauna and wellness area, where you can also book a massage, etc. if you like. Excellent value for money! We'd love to come back; this is our insider tip in South Tyrol :)
David 12. November travelled as Young couple + We recently stayed at the Bio-Hotel Pazeider and were truly surprised by everything they offered. The rooms are modernly furnished, and the view is beautiful, as the hotel is situated on a hill. The hotel also has a spa area, and you can book treatments on-site for your health and well-being. What really stood out was the food. Truly delicious products that you can enjoy without a guilty conscience (because they're organic). The taste was absolutely top-notch! And it was a feast for the eyes as well! The service is also excellent! All the staff are friendly and seem genuinely happy there. Before booking the hotel, we read several reviews and now we can't understand what there is to criticize. The value for money is truly excellent, as in addition to the points mentioned above, there are numerous free options for how you want to spend your day (museums, etc.) – all accessible with the guest card. The only reason I can think of for people to complain about minor things is that this three-star hotel makes you forget you're in a three-star hotel; it feels like a more luxurious one. In conclusion, you get great value for your money! We'd love to come back!
Claudio 20. October travelled as 0 + Very nice hotel, highly recommended
ALESSANDRA 19. October travelled as Family with smaller children + Excellent experience. I spent a weekend with my daughter in this wonderful facility. Fabulous room, beautiful spa, truly excellent food and impeccable service. We felt like two super pampered queens. Very kind staff. A special thank you goes to the Maitre d' di Sala Nicola and to the Barman Alfredo for the sympathy, kindness, attention and care they dedicated to us. We will definitely be back.
Victoria 15. October travelled as 0 + Excellent food, great service, good wine selection, and a high-quality coffee culture. I highly recommend it!
Dennis 11. October travelled as 0 + I was invited to dinner yesterday evening, the gourmet pizzas were world class, attentive service, the hotel room was spacious, I will definitely be back
Beate 10. October travelled as Young couple + When you go to South Tyrol, you want South Tyrolean hospitality. But when a maitre d' shows you where to sit at breakfast, and you're given a different seat every day, it's a bit uncomfortable. Guests who book half board, however, get the same seat every day. Time and again, you get the feeling that there are first-class and second-class guests. The owner is trying to operate a very high-quality restaurant here, but he can't really manage it because the restaurant staff isn't suited to it. Until now, I've always believed that the guest is king, but the arrogance of the maitre d', who decides whether and where you can sit or not, gives rise to other feelings. Sometimes guests were even asked to leave their seats because the maitre d' didn't like it. One day, after our criticism, the owner took care of the service, and that was the only day when everything was truly excellent. Otherwise, guests had different expectations than the hotel could accommodate. If you advertise your own bakery, you should offer more than square, slightly hard rolls and activated charcoal bread. Some guests even complained because they wanted a Vinschgau bread or something completely normal. Their requests were accepted, and they promised to change them, but nothing changed. We observed guests who got rolls from the bakery around the corner and then came to breakfast with the bag. I think that if it gets to the point where guests buy their rolls elsewhere, something is wrong. If breakfast is served until 10 a.m., I expect everything to be there by 9 a.m. But if there's neither bread nor rolls nor cereal nor apple juice at 9 a.m., I have the feeling that something is wrong here. The restaurant is trying to be something it isn't. Our room was sensational. Although I have to say, you might want a little more privacy, even in a healthy relationship. When you can't even brush your teeth on your own, it's a bit strange. The room, a very large space with a round bed, a whirlpool in the middle, and a half-divider meant to separate the bathroom from the rest of the room, unfortunately doesn't have the coziness you'd hope for. The housekeeping ladies are incredibly friendly, kind, and thorough. The receptionist was also very friendly and helpful.
Kingpin 12. September travelled as Young couple + Reception was friendly and helpful. The restaurant was overwhelmed when ordering à la carte. Bar service was almost nonexistent. I had to hunt for staff to ask for a drink. The hotel's location is quiet, but remote. But you know that when you book here. The rooms are functional. The price is okay. I booked a deluxe double room with a balcony facing the valley. There's no minibar, but there's a small refrigerator for chilling drinks I've bought myself.
Verena 31. August travelled as 0 + The rooms were clean and spacious. Unfortunately, the hotel is located right next to the train, which can be annoying if the window is open. The food is very good, but you do need a lot of patience and time. For example, we once waited over an hour to be served, and the order of the dishes wasn't correct, despite having pre-ordered in the morning (antipasti first, then salad/soup, or pizza first and then salad ), or they ran out of the main course they wanted, and they served a different dessert than the one ordered. The whole disaster was excused by new staff . The brunch buffet/morning meal, on the other hand, was very good, plentiful, and the bread was excellent. The bread, olive oil, and salt served at the table (when they didn't forget it) were excellent, and the pizza was also very good. The hotel has a beautiful, clean indoor and outdoor pool, a large sunbathing lawn, and a terrace. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but somehow not very efficient a shame.
Astrid 24. August travelled as 0 + Superb hotel: great, modern and clean rooms, extensive breakfast and fantastic pizzas. The small spa area has everything you need after a day exploring the beautiful surroundings. All the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Marion 08. August travelled as 0 + We spent just under a week at Hotel Pazeider in August and felt very comfortable. The room was wonderfully cool – without the annoying noise of a normal air conditioner, thanks to a sophisticated fresh air system – beautifully furnished, and very clean. Breakfast was fantastic, with homemade bread and everything else you could wish for. The five-course dinner was a culinary delight, all organic. The incredibly friendly staff deserves special mention! The hotel offers a lovely spa area with a great view of the apple orchards, and the restaurant has a fantastic view of Merano. We wholeheartedly recommend the Pazeider and would love to return. Marion and Heinrich Timm
Irene 07. August travelled as 0 + Everything was perfect, the breakfast was excellent, both in quality and quantity, the staff were very kind and helpful, and the rooms exceeded expectations.
Alessandra 28. July travelled as 0 + The perfect hotel for relaxing. Surrounded by mountains and apple orchards. Very spacious and well-appointed room with a terrace. I recommend half-board as the hotel is outside of town and the restaurant is worth it. Excellent, carefully prepared dishes, and you can eat outside. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. We have indoor pools connected to the spa. There's also a small outdoor pool. The spa is well-organized and welcoming. Everything is perfect for a relaxing weekend. My only complaint is the lack of information in Italian! The menu, spa price list, and information on getting around the city...all in German...and yet we're in Italy!!! Anyway, well done for everything else.
P. 26. July travelled as 0 + Everything was perfect! I'd be happy to come back anytime. Very friendly. Great food, great breakfast, great staff. Great spa and pool.
Kar 01. July travelled as Family with smaller children + Beautiful views over Merano, comfortable rooms, and excellent, organic, regional cuisine.
Hagen 30. June travelled as Young couple + Located in the middle of an orchard with a fantastic view of Merano. Great breakfast buffet, fresh salads from the hotel's own garden in the evening.
Arnika 02. June travelled as Young couple + We've been coming to the Pazeider continuously for six years. The hotel is very pleasant, and the rooms are high-quality and spacious. We particularly appreciate the view over Merano. A glass of wine on the terrace in the evening is a dream! The breakfast and dinner are also very special. A menu is placed on your table in the morning, from which you can then choose your course. I could post a hundred pictures of the food alone, but I'll just leave you with a sample. The pizza there is also incredibly delicious. Another highlight is the wellness area. There are several saunas, some of which offer unique views directly onto the apple orchards. We'll be back :)
Mathias 02. June travelled as Young couple + An exceptionally beautiful hotel with an outstanding overall package. The rooms are very spacious and very modern. The wellness area is highly recommended, with the highlight being the bio sauna and a beautiful view along the apple orchards. Dinner and breakfast were excellent! Everything was fresh, organic, and uniquely flavorful. The staff is very friendly, and the whole family is supportive, perfectly rounding off the overall experience. We'd love to come back!
Der 31. May travelled as Family with smaller children + A beautifully situated hotel with views over Merano. Despite the railway line and motorway, it's very quiet. Inside, the ambiance blends old and new, modern touches, and thoughtful details. We had one of the new rooms on the top floor (Terra Medico) with plenty of space and a fantastic view through the panoramic windows and from the large roof terrace. The stylish bathroom had a shower and a separate toilet. Natural light streamed into the living area through a side panel in the shower. This took some getting used to for our 14-year-old son when showering, but we managed ;-) The spa area is lovely, with a Finnish sauna, a bio sauna, a steam room, and an infrared cabin. The showers, however, take some getting used to: without a mixing valve, it takes a while to find the perfect water temperature. A generous breakfast is served, including homemade bread and cakes. They have everything you could wish for. Dinner is a five-course meal, or you can choose a pizza from the hotel's wood-fired oven. The food is very varied, delicious, and plentiful, with options for vegetarians and vegans as well. Another highlight for us were the pool tables.
Heidemarie 23. April travelled as 0 + Very pleasant and beautiful rooms, and the spa is also really nice. I can't comment on the treatments. Everything has a wonderful view—but it's best enjoyed behind glass—the highway is very distracting. It's a real shame. Unfortunately, the restaurant doesn't live up to its website promise. A 100% organic gourmet restaurant is probably not feasible at €35 for half board. But please don't raise false hopes. There's also no vegetarian menu. Unbelievable—even upon request! The service is very friendly, if not always professional.
Sebastian 14. April travelled as Family with smaller children + Very good food with friendly service. A good wellness area for relaxation. Beautiful rooms with a fantastic view of the blossoming apple trees and snow-capped mountain peaks. We felt completely at home!
Ronnie 09. January travelled as 0 + Beautiful spa hotel, swimming pool, saunas, Turkish bath, overlooking the peaks, not far from Merano
Marco 06. January travelled as Family with smaller children + The property is very beautiful and welcoming. The staff is kind and helpful, and the food is excellent. The location is a bit out of the way, but the shuttle service to the center of Merano is convenient (and even free with the pass provided by the hotel). We were satisfied and will return as soon as possible.
Federico 04. January travelled as 0 + Beautiful stay!
Uwe 03. January travelled as 0 + Beautiful hotel, great, stylish rooms with views of Merano and Tirolo. The food is excellent. The staff creates a pleasant atmosphere.
giovanni 27. December travelled as Solo-Traveller + An excellent biomedical hotel overlooking Merano. Surrounded by greenery, it has all the hallmarks of a full-service spa. The service is impeccable, as is the cleanliness and comfort. Recommended for relaxation, to recharge body and soul, in a total immersion in nature and wellness. I personally thank the restaurant's Maître d', Nicole, the young Nima, Giovanni, and Maria (I hope I spelled their names correctly) for the attention and care they have shown to our guests, meticulously attending to every detail for complete customer satisfaction. Recommended, and I will gladly return.
Patrizia 21. December travelled as Family with smaller children + We were positively impressed by the holistic approach, which is rare in a South Tyrolean tourism facility
Andrea 10. December travelled as Young couple + A very nice hotel with comfort, a lovely spa area, and a cozy atmosphere. The facilities are great. Unfortunately, the service is lacking. The food was generally very good, but sadly not 100% organic as advertised everywhere. At the breakfast buffet, for example, the tea bar offered both organic and non-organic teas from the same producer. There was a sign for organic teas, but this wasn't obvious to guests who didn't handle all the packages. Similarly, there were attractive jars of jam with labels at the buffet that weren't organic. We spoke to the owner about both issues. The response: "There are plenty of organic options available; guests can choose, and the locally produced jams taste better." These aren't convincing arguments for me when I'm promised 100% organic. We couldn't verify what else was organic, of course, but it certainly raises questions. The bar also offered countless non-organic drinks, including the cheapest elderflower syrup. During our conversations, the owner mentioned he would remove the 100% organic claim from the website. This hasn't happened four weeks after our stay. The service in the restaurant left much to be desired. Even taking the general staff shortage into account, there was little sign of service. The staff struggled to communicate with each other, and with guests, due to language barriers. Questions and requests were rarely understood, and even then, the manager wasn't called to help. At the beginning of dinner, we were asked for water. Then, it was never offered again, even if the bottle had been empty for an hour. The wine list was only provided after we asked for it, and then no one came to take our order. We had to actively make ourselves known. The excellent four-course menu was selected from a menu sheet in the morning. Unfortunately, we couldn't remember the details of the menu before dinner. When the food was served in the evening, the individual courses were only described as "meat" or "vegetables." What else was on the plate remained a mystery. Asking was pointless; neither the staff nor the junior manager knew. On the first evening, we finally received the extensive menu from the restaurant after asking. On the following days, we took a photo of the menu each morning. They could have simply put the menu back on the table in the evening. One of the dishes was missing an ingredient. Explaining this to the staff was nearly impossible. In the end, we were told that his colleague didn't know either. After some time, the junior chef came by, checked the menu, and then asked in the kitchen. We did eventually get the missing ingredient, but by then we were almost finished with the meal. Something was missing again with the next course. We didn't bother asking. In a place like this, it's unacceptable. Anyone who doesn't care about such things can certainly eat well. I'm writing this in such detail because, unfortunately, it wasn't possible to have a productive conversation with the manager. We don't understand the claim of 100% organic when it isn't true. They should at least state that a high percentage of organic ingredients combined with regional components is their philosophy. We chose this hotel specifically because of its 100% organic claim, as that's important to us. Or at least, we want to know the truth. We've stayed in several organic hotels where "100%" really meant 100%. It's a real shame for such a great place.
besim 08. December travelled as Family with smaller children + Paradise place exceptional staff very kind owner congratulations
besim 08. December travelled as 0 + Wonderful place, great hotel
Kirsten 13. November travelled as 0 + We had a wonderful time at the Pazeider in October. Every morning, we thoroughly enjoyed the fantastic breakfast and the excellent dinner with a unique view of the fruit trees and Merano. The restaurant staff are very attentive, and the service is excellent. Everyone at reception, in the wellness area, the housekeeping staff, and the caretaker are also very friendly and welcoming. We had a beautiful apartment with a living room and bedroom and also had a wonderful view of the valley from there. Upon request, an extra stool was immediately brought to our room. Thank you so much for everything! We felt completely at home and would love to come back!
MASSIMILIANA 13. November travelled as 0 + Fresh and delicious food, perfect temperature throughout, extremely friendly staff, spacious rooms with natural materials, a beautiful indoor pool with mountain views, and the owners are always there to make you feel truly welcome. What more can I say? Just perfect!!
Daniela 08. November travelled as Young couple + Pure relaxation and thank you for the wonderful stay! Our room, in particular, couldn't have been more beautiful. The view from the large windows was our highlight day and night! The very friendly staff, the delicious dinner, and the hotel's location also make us want to come back!
Andrey 03. November travelled as Family with smaller children + Amazing food, great spa
Claudia 27. September travelled as Young couple + Our expectations were high, but they were far exceeded. The reception, service staff, and rooms were all excellent, and the cuisine was absolutely top-notch. Unfortunately, we didn't have the opportunity to try out the health center due to our rather short-notice booking. But we'll make up for it; we'll definitely be back and are already looking forward to it.
Jakob 25. September travelled as Group of friends + We stayed for three nights and booked the "Cycling, Enjoying, and Relaxing" package. For us, it was a complete, worry-free package. A great spa, great bikes, delicious food, and superb service. We definitely didn't miss a thing! The friendliness of all the staff is definitely worth mentioning. Always smiling and very well looked after; everything is just right here. The PAZEIDER is a fantastic place, and we'd love to come back! :-)
Dan 14. September travelled as 0 + Thank you for the wonderful, relaxing week with you at the Hotel Pazeider! We really liked the modern rooms (with the windows open, you can hear the highway in the valley), but by far our favorite part was the excellent food – delicious, delicious, delicious! The staff were very friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back!
holger 10. September travelled as Family with smaller children + Quiet setting, located just outside the city center, with a fantastic view of the mountains and Merano. Excellent organic food and drinks with exceptionally unobtrusive but excellent service. Modernly furnished rooms with plenty of space and a pleasant atmosphere. I'd be happy to return anytime to relax and unwind.
Meta 07. September travelled as Young couple + Very friendly, competent staff, exceptional cuisine, and state-of-the-art, spacious rooms with sensational views. Many thanks for the warm hospitality and the exceptionally kind receptionist.
Sebastian 05. September travelled as Solo-Traveller + Stunning views of the Burggrafenamt from the rooms, spa, and restaurant. The sauna features a plunge pool with fresh spring water. Very friendly staff, and the hotel's beautiful, modern design features plenty of wood.
Michaela 05. September travelled as Young couple + We thoroughly enjoyed our second stay at the hotel. The room with a balcony left nothing to be desired, and the staff, from reception to the front desk, were very friendly and attentive. The breakfast buffet was very extensive, with plenty of fresh fruit, spreads, etc. And dinner was truly incredible every day, cooked and presented with great attention to detail. We'll definitely be back!
Ma. 29. August travelled as Young couple + Beautiful hotel overlooking Merano
Ralf 23. August travelled as Solo-Traveller + Discovered by chance on Booking and already impressed, I'm already planning to come back in August. Sauna area top...dog friendly...massage with Monika simply wonderful
Wave 23. August travelled as Young couple + :-) Your hotel is beautifully located, with a wonderful view of the surrounding area and surrounded by apple orchards and vineyards. A wonderful place to slow down and relax. The suite is very nicely decorated and had everything we expected. The breakfast buffet is very rich, varied and delicious. :-( We booked the gluten-free half board for one person. We don't take the offer (which costs extra) for granted and we thought it was great. Although we had the same table every evening and the booking of the gluten-free package was known from the start, we unfortunately had to order the gluten-free bread separately for almost every meal (dinner and breakfast) or point it out to the waiter and sometimes wait up to 40 minutes for it. Gluten intolerance is a serious illness and therefore a restriction in one's diet everyone affected. You should therefore be able to rely on the offer and the booking. We found it nice that the owner often mingled with the guests, that he was often seen in the restaurant and that he was very present. It was a shame that the owner didn't manage to congratulate us on our special occasion, even though this was already stated when booking. He also failed to engage in conversation with us on various other occasions. He repeatedly had conversations with many other guests. Unfortunately not with us. In our opinion, as the head of such a high-quality hotel, you should find out which guests are celebrating a special occasion in your hotel and recognize the guests who are staying in one of the best (and most expensive) rooms in the hotel. We only saw the espresso machine and the special coffee, which is so well advertised in the advertising video on the homepage, when it was switched off. With a little more sensitivity during check-in, check-out and during meals, we could have easily given the full rating. The human aspect makes more difference than some people think. After our stay, we sent an email to the hotel with our positive and negative experiences, but unfortunately we did not receive a response.
Karsten 15. August travelled as Family with smaller children + Great facility, but it’s the service that sets this hotel apart. It’s personalized and all around exceptional. I highly recommend staying here.
Moritz 07. August travelled as Young couple + A truly wonderful place to relax and be pampered. The Pazeider is located above Merano in the small village of Marlengo, offering magnificent views of the valley and mountains. This family-run organic hotel is dedicated to the well-being of its guests. Recently renovated, the hotel perfectly blends design with comfort and coziness. The rooms are wonderfully air-conditioned. The highlight of the hotel, however, is the food, both breakfast and dinner. Everything is of the highest quality, all organic, incredibly delicious, and perfectly balanced. The kitchen team delights guests daily with creativity, precision, and superb ingredients. There's something for everyone here. Fine wines and excellent drinks complete the experience. Last but not least, Donatello and his team deserve a mention: always focused on the guests, always 120% committed, and always full of surprises. The spa area, as well as the indoor and outdoor pools, round out the offerings. Marlengo is also the perfect starting point for hikes, excursions, visits to Merano or Bolzano, or a cycling tour. We have been guests at Pazeider for three years in a row now and would love to come back again.
Sigrid 06. August travelled as Family with smaller children + Everything was perfect, as always...
Fabio 18. July travelled as Family with smaller children + We spent three wonderful and relaxing days at the hotel. The room was quiet and modern. The dinner and breakfast were superb. Many thanks again to Donatello and his staff!
Ad 11. July travelled as 0 + A joy to stay here, great quality and service
Michele 03. July travelled as Family with smaller children + The property is located in a relaxing and scenic spot, a little outside the city center (perfect for those who want to take evening strolls). The kindness and expertise are excellent!
Christian 02. July travelled as Young couple + A wonderful place to unwind, rest, and relax. We've been coming here regularly for years.
Ralf 01. July travelled as 0 + We came on the recommendation of friends, and our already high expectations were even exceeded! The spacious room with a pleasantly cool climate and a stunning view of the mountain panorama from the balcony, the excellent cuisine with fresh, varied dishes at both breakfast and dinner, and a wide selection of first-class wines, spirits, and coffee specialties – everything, truly, was of a very high standard. We would like to thank you for the wonderful, relaxing stay and especially for the passionate, excellent service provided by the entire staff. We would like to specifically mention "Donatello," who ensures his guests' well-being with exceptional dedication and attention. Our respect for that. We highly recommend it, and we will definitely be back!
Sarah 09. June travelled as Young couple + We love to travel a lot. The Pazeider is a real insider tip and highly recommended: a warm welcome, friendly staff, and excellent service. Design and luxury (great rooms with stunning views of Merano and the surrounding area) meet in a family atmosphere. Each guest and their personal wishes are catered to individually. If you're looking for a place to relax and unwind, this is the place for you! They offer e-bikes for rent, making them perfect for exploring the beautiful surroundings. A special highlight – in addition to a spa with a sauna overlooking the apple orchards and fantastic massage treatments – was a romantic 5-course candlelight dinner in the hotel's historic wine cellar. We thank you so much and would love to come back!
thomas 07. June travelled as 0 + Very friendly and helpful staff! First-class customer service. Great location and excellent food. Customers are truly in excellent hands here. Thank you very much.
Michael 06. June travelled as 0 + It was a wonderful stay at the Pazeider Organic & Wellness Hotel! The atmosphere, the friendly and accommodating nature of every member of staff, and the hotel's exceptional management were evident every minute of the day. We always felt welcome and very comfortable. Especially with our dog! The breakfast/food was simply fantastic, I can't say more than that. We simply want to say thank you for the pleasant vacation and would love to come back! The only thing that annoyed us was that we unfortunately had to leave before the wine seminar, but we'll make up for that ;)
Michele 02. June travelled as Young couple + We had the pleasure of staying at the Pazeider and highly recommend it! The hotel is located in an idyllic setting and offers breathtaking views of the mountains and the city. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating and impressed us with their hospitality. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable, as well as modern. The large whirlpool in the room is a real highlight. We were also particularly impressed by the excellent breakfast buffet, which offered a wide selection of fresh and healthy options. In addition, the hotel also has an excellent restaurant, which delighted us with its cuisine. We also had the pleasure of using the spa area, which is very well equipped; we particularly enjoyed the two saunas with panoramic windows and views of the mountains. Overall, our stay at the Pazeider was simply unforgettable, and I will definitely return!
Tamara 28. May travelled as 0 + Best vacation ever! We really enjoyed our stay in this beautifully located hotel! Starting with the indescribable view from our balcony of the mountains and Meran to the excellent food! We booked half board and enjoyed a meal every evening that was prepared to a star standard and presented with a lot of passion! A highlight! Many thanks to the entire Pazeider team! Especially to the head waiter, Donatello, who always has an eye on everything and takes great care of his guests! Keep it up! We'll be back!
Sabrina 28. May travelled as Young couple + Organic Hotel with Heart The Pazeider is beautifully situated among apple orchards, a wonderful place to unwind. The hotel is run with genuine care and attention; here, guests are not just a number. Upon arrival, the owner himself prepared an espresso for us using a truly magnificent portafilter machine. I personally have never tasted a better one. The five-course dinner menu was excellent. Special mention must also go to Donatello, the restaurant/bar manager. Thank you for the great recommendations and the wonderful service! Merano was very easy to reach by public transport: the train station is a 5-minute walk away, and thanks to the guest card, you can take the bus or train for free. We would love to come back again.
Lyle 23. May travelled as Young couple + We had a wonderful and unforgettable stay here. The location is super, perched on the side of the mountain, with an incredible view overlooking the city of Meran and the mountains across the valley and the Marlinger Waalweg above the mountain behind us. Our room was amazing, with lots of room for storage, a comfortable bed with a view of the mountains from our bedroom, and two comfortable adjustable luxurious lounge chairs in the living room, which also had a huge window with an amazing view. The food was excellent, with a new menu every evening, and each dish a gourmet work of culinary art. The dining room, which was also where the excellent buffet breakfast was located, overlooked a lovely garden and also had a gorgeous view of the mountains. The spa, while not as extensive was those in the large spa hotels, was more than adequate, with an indoor lap pool, two saunas, steam bath, and infrared room. The service as also excellent; everyone was very friendly, helpful, and professional. We'll definitely be returning to this romantic getaway.
Karl 13. May travelled as Young couple + As always, we enjoyed our stay. The excellent organic cuisine deserves special mention.
Luca 12. May travelled as Solo-Traveller + Chef Matteo Contiero knows how to pamper you with his dishes!!
Annika 26. April travelled as Solo-Traveller + The hotel is located near the Marlinger Waalweg (Waal Path) in a quiet location amidst apple trees, offering a magnificent view of Merano and the surrounding villages. The Pazeider is modern, bright, well-maintained, and stylishly furnished. The Kofler family and the entire hotel staff were very warm, helpful, and dedicated. I received many tips for activities and was pleased that the hotel is pet-friendly. The food in the restaurant was very tasty. All ingredients are organic, and there was a wide selection of freshly prepared dishes. Both breakfast and dinner are highly recommended. The service in the restaurant was very attentive and friendly. The hotel's attractive wellness area offers plenty of opportunities for relaxation in a spacious space (panoramic saunas, Kneipp pools, relaxation rooms, massages, and much more). There is also an interesting daily selection of various health-oriented sports and exercise classes (yoga, etc.). I would be happy to return.
Patricia 17. April travelled as Young couple + Everything was perfect :) without asking for it we got a room upgrade with a view of the valley/to Merano when we checked in
Klem 10. April travelled as Family with smaller children + We would like to thank you again for the outstanding service during our holiday. Our expectations were exceeded in every respect. We never book half-board, but I made a mistake here, and I would have been annoyed if I hadn't, because then we would have missed out on this cuisine, from the homemade bread and the different menu selection every day... to the very extensive and fantastic wine selection. All I can say is "first-class"—there's hardly any room for improvement. The entire staff, especially Donatello with his charming manner and excellent recommendations, were friendly and attentive in a way that is rarely experienced.
Nico 09. April travelled as 0 + Very good food, nice and clean rooms, and very friendly service. Highly recommended.
Andreas 08. April travelled as Family with smaller children + A very nice, family-run hotel surrounded by fruit orchards. The rooms are very nice and newly renovated. The food is truly outstanding. There's also a small barbecue area by the river where you can have small bonfires in the evenings. Paired with the house bacon and a good wine, it's a wonderful experience. If you enjoy excellent coffee and appreciate artisanal coffee, this is the place for you.
Tini 27. March travelled as Family with smaller children + We only stayed one night, but we received a warm welcome, and this friendliness and courtesy was also evident from the service staff at breakfast. I would also like to thank you very much for the lovely birthday surprise! The family room is very nice, with an inner courtyard terrace that unfortunately only overlooks a wall, so it's one star less. It didn't matter to us for one night, but if we were staying longer, we would have liked a balcony with a view. The sauna area was attractive and pleasant, but we were also alone. The hotel's location is wonderful; we enjoyed our very short stay.
Martin 21. October travelled as Young couple + Family-like and friendly staff.
Winfried 30. September travelled as Young couple + Very commendable, we would love to come back.
Malee 14. September travelled as 0 + We are very satisfied with the service, the atmosphere, and the rooms at the hotel! Thank you very much and the personal service is very good. This hotel is very good service.
Brendan 09. September travelled as 0 + My wife and I had a lovely stay at this hotel this Summer. Stephen and his team looked after us very well. We were glad to return to the coolness of the hotel room during the very hot days we experienced. We enjoyed the treatments available in the Spa. Upon our leaving, there was an issue with payment which resulted in a double payment from ourselves to the hotel. However, Stephen corrected the situation for us very quickly. Watch out for Mark Ruffalo lookalike managing his team at breakfast. He was one of the highlights of our holiday. We will return to this hotel in the future.
Antje 07. September travelled as 0 + Well-maintained hotel with interesting architecture, large rooms, a wonderful location with valley views, and a stunning garden. Two pools, a sauna, excellent cuisine, and friendly staff. Thank you!
Georg 03. September travelled as 0 + The hotel is very nice and clean. A great base for exploring the region.
Jens 28. August travelled as Family with smaller children + I rarely write reviews. However, I absolutely wanted to give some feedback on our wonderful stay at Hotel Pazeider. The week in the Panorama Suite was fantastic, the hotel's location is superb, the suite's layout and design are beautiful, the food is absolutely delicious, and we really appreciated the variety during our stay. The staff is exceptionally friendly, especially the service in the restaurant, but also the reception staff! The hotel's facilities (pools, sauna, billiards, table tennis, etc.) are also good, and in my opinion, there's hardly anything to criticize – if anything, it's nitpicking. I wanted to elaborate on some of the negative reviews: I find some of them shameful – not for the hotel, but for the writers. It's unbelievable what kind of sense of entitlement some people have developed. Of course, mistakes happen where people work, but I can perhaps overlook some things, while others I need to address openly – but not through unfounded negative reviews. And of course, there are areas at Hotel Pazeider that aren't brand new, like the suites; the pool might be a few years old, but it's perfectly fine, and the sunbathing lawn is lovely, nestled among the apple trees. Oh, and by the way: I'm not a bot that automatically writes reviews, nor am I a reviewer paid by the hotel. Feel free to find me on the relevant business social networks and connect with me. If you have any further questions about the Pazeider—or anything else—I'm happy to help.
Nicola 27. August travelled as 0 + Fantastic hotel, very friendly staff and very good food and breakfast service.
Sabine 27. August travelled as Family with smaller children + We really enjoyed the week with you. The hotel and the grounds were very well maintained. The rooms were all very nice with a view of Merano and always very clean. The breakfast was rich and there was something for everyone, and we also found the food very good and delicious. The service in the restaurant didn't always work well, but that couldn't be helped given the lack of staff everywhere. The entire staff was always very friendly. We can only recommend the wine seminar conducted by the head of the house; in-depth background knowledge was conveyed using top wines.
Francesco 22. August travelled as Young couple + A truly thrilling experience. We booked one of the junior suites on the second floor, a very modern room with every comfort. Waking up to that view of the mountains and the town of Merano is priceless; that alone makes the trip worthwhile. The room also features a climate control system, which definitely adds to the experience. Having clean air and the right temperature only enhances our stay. The room's spacious private terrace has loungers for sunbathing during the day or stargazing at night. The pool is beautiful and offers a peaceful setting, with the terrace offering a stunning view. The breakfast was excellent, and the restaurant service could be improved. Very friendly staff. The hotel app, which allows you to order drinks, etc., wherever you are, is very useful and appreciated.
Greta 22. August travelled as Young couple + The hotel is exactly as pictured. The room is beautiful, very clean, and has a stunning view of the city of Merano. The pools are always quiet and peaceful, and relaxing on the lounge chairs in the garden is truly pleasant. Breakfast is plentiful, and I really enjoyed the freshly prepared eggs, although I would have appreciated a wider selection of pastries or cakes in addition to croissants. The service could be improved and more organized and prompt, but regardless, I highly recommend the hotel to anyone looking to enjoy a vacation in a beautiful, relaxing place.
Nicolandrea 21. August travelled as Young couple + Great place overall but has some serious issues in communication with guests and mostly in quality of restaurant staff, especially for dinner
Gabriele 15. August travelled as 0 + Beautiful rooms, friendly staff, and very good food!
Hannes 13. August travelled as Family with smaller children + Thank you so much for the wonderful stay with you. We had a wonderful week with the whole family. The suite was very clean and modern. Even on the hot nights, everyone slept very well thanks to the air conditioning. The food was also fantastic. Both breakfast and the evening meal. We will definitely be back.
Sascha 03. August travelled as 0 + If you're looking for an exceptionally positive experience for yourself or your family, you've come to the right place. I've never seen a hotel like this before. I simply don't have the words to describe the location. Breakfast in a Mediterranean setting, right among the clouds. Mountains kissing the sky in the warm summer breeze. This place is hard to describe. There are a thousand loving details and many little touches that round out the experience in a multifaceted way. I love the large, open-air pool and the incredibly high-quality sauna area with a view of the beautiful apple orchard. The food, whether breakfast or dinner, is unsurpassed, and the service is simply delightful. I'll make the trip from Berlin to Tyrol again just for the olive oil! I recommend all hotel owners to become an apprentice there! This is how you run a hotel with heart and soul. Yoga, massages, a giant trampoline, peace, ultimate relaxation, fresh spring water, and the finest medical treatments – thank you, thank you, thank you for this perfect and incredible experience. We'll be back!
Jörg 02. August travelled as 0 + We, two adults with our young daughter, spent a wonderful week here and were completely satisfied without any reservations. Yes, you can hear the river and the road, but that's partly to be expected at mid-altitude locations, and partly because you quickly block out the noise. That would actually be enough of a rating, but after scrolling through the partly negative reviews – incidentally, on a sensational sunny balcony with a view of Merano and a magnificent Alpine panorama – I'll just say this: If you're looking for a fly in the ointment, you'll find it everywhere. I really wonder if these negative reviewers have ever heard of staff shortages? Do they realize how difficult it was to survive the coronavirus lockdowns and keep a restaurant business running? No champagne for breakfast, what a scandal! A leaf under the table in the beautiful garden, shocking! Keep your standards low, help keep the hard-working staff in a good mood, and understand that many things have become significantly more difficult in the last two years. And yes, everything has become more expensive. But organic quality has its price, and the food is truly excellent. Bottom line: We'll be back and hope to meet such nice people again next time – people who also enjoyed their wonderful stay with satisfaction and a positive attitude.
Bruno 26. July travelled as Young couple + Hello, dear friends. Yes, we have often been to the Pazeider, which is beautifully situated above Merano. The last time was four years ago. Back then, Stefan Kofler, the manager, told us about his plans to consistently convert to organic principles. Our skepticism was as great as the wonderfully positive surprise now in June 2022! Stefan has immersed his hotel in a wonderful organic world; not in a sectarian way, but in a way that delights both mind and body – and does a great deal of good! The manager has truly blossomed, realizing his plans almost daily. And he has also gained many positive impressions of Far Eastern truths, which he shares with conviction and joy with happy guests! Yes, Stefan has become an even more gracious and ever-present host! And his Pazeider has also grown – not in size, but in content, with positive developments everywhere! The rooms have been new for a while; Very bright and modern, with discreet, gentle cooling. The view of Merano and the mountains is beautiful! The manageable size remains very personal and pleasant. And, of course, the structural improvements are especially noticeable to regular guests. The new pizza oven is a great delight, with delicious bread daily enhancing the generous breakfast. The crispy pizzas are a wonderful alternative or addition to the evening menu. The quality has greatly improved internally. The consistently good food has become an even greater pleasure – thanks to the fantastic chef and the very attentive service team. And our hearts and palates delighted daily with the large, beautiful selection of wines, recommended by the dedicated sommelier Donatello with great knowledge and southern Italian charm. In general, you can sense the joy and desire of the entire team to enhance every moment of their stay. And this harmonious team, of course, also includes the girls at the reception, the hard-working cleaning staff, the competent massage team, and the amiable caretaker Giorgio. The longing for all the people at the Pazeider has long since caught up with us again, and we look forward to more days in "our" Pazeider; a hotel with plenty of potential for well-being and great warmth! See you soon and warm greetings, Yours, Lydia and Bruno Fäh from Zugerland, Switzerland.
Marianne 10. July travelled as Young couple + There's nothing negative to report! We were completely satisfied A fantastic breakfast and top-notch service. The dinner was top-notch and all organic. The hotel, rooms, and wellness area are very attractive. The higher price is justified; we'll be back.
nikcycling 06. July travelled as 0 + Beautiful hotel. Great food. Excellent service.
Matthias 03. July travelled as 0 + #60thBirthday#34Degrees#Sun#Wellness#GoodFood#Relaxation
Mathias 01. July travelled as 0 + What can one describe as a perfect holiday at the Hotel Pazeider? Perhaps something like this: It was a perfect holiday at the Hotel Pazeider. Pleasant, friendly, and dedicated staff, whether at reception, in the service department, in the kitchen, or in the restaurant. The owner was also always present and available to answer any questions. Overall, a very relaxed atmosphere in which one could relax wonderfully. This was complemented by the very varied food, whether at the breakfast buffet or the multi-course menu in the evening. And everything of a quality that left nothing to be desired. So, if you're looking for relaxation and the very best in food, combined with warm service, this is the place for you. We wish the entire team at the Hotel Pazeider all the best, especially many nice guests who appreciate your offerings and the feel-good atmosphere. Best regards from Cathleen & Mathias Lehmann from Upper Bavaria.
Judith 17. June travelled as 0 + Beautiful hotel, very poorly managed. The Pazeider is a very beautiful hotel. Unfortunately, it is very poorly managed. I don't even know where to begin with all the shortcomings: Little to no water comes out of the shower. The temperature fluctuates between ice-cold and scalding hot during the shower (something you'd normally expect from Africa). Breakfast: There are far too few staff at breakfast. If you arrive at 9:30 a.m., there's no juice, no bread (none at all), and the fruit salad is all gone. The overworked staff doesn't come to refill it. You usually order a coffee four times before you finally get it. The bread is actually pizza dough, once without sesame seeds and once with sesame seeds. The overworked staff is even reprimanded by the boss in front of everyone. He would be better off helping out than snapping at the staff. Wellness: The Pazeider is a wellness hotel with a medical center. I wanted to go to the wellness center on a rainy day. No sign of it, it doesn't open until 3 p.m. I never saw a single employee in the spa during our entire stay, even though the hotel was fully booked. Who offers the wellness and medical services is a mystery to me. Food: Better go to Merano. Outdoor pool: Has seen better days. The lawn in front of the hotel is a swamp, even though it hasn't rained for two days. The second lawn by the vineyard is a field. Rooms in the old part: The rooms are only partially renovated and don't have air conditioning. That could be quite uncomfortable in 40-degree heat. The best employee at the Pazeider is probably the person who manages the website and develops the marketing copy. Unfortunately, it's all more show than substance. The owner prefers to hide from guests. He doesn't seem particularly comfortable in his role. The hotel clearly lacks strong leadership. The Pazeider has been around for 200 years. If it continues to be run like this, I won't give it another 20. The competition in South Tyrol is fierce and good. I'm somehow getting the impression that the many good reviews aren't from real guests. The bad reviews always complain about the same thing.
Tatjana 13. June travelled as 0 + We stayed at the Pazeider for 6 nights in May and had a wonderful, relaxing vacation. Thanks again to the entire Pazeider team! We stayed on the top floor in a suite with a fantastic view of Merano, Tirolo, and Merano 2000. Donatello spoiled us with excellent food and wine in the restaurant. Thank you so much again for that! The in-house wine cellar has a very good selection! The wine seminar is also highly recommended and interesting. You learn a lot of fascinating things about wine. In the spa, we had traditional Ayurvedic treatments with the Indian Siddhaveda master Rejith, who is currently here from India. It was an incredible experience. All the other treatments we booked at the spa were also perfect. The wellness area is beautifully designed with a beautiful view of the green surroundings. Overall, we can 100% recommend the Pazeider!
Otmar 29. May travelled as 0 + Super Service
P. 29. May travelled as 0 + We were able to enjoy the great service, the ambiance, and the excellent cuisine for almost two weeks. The relaxation value was very high! Thank you very much, it was a wonderful stay with you....
Jagd 28. May travelled as Young couple + "The essence of an inspiring journey lies in the miraculous discovery of what is essential." There's nothing to add to this quote from hotel owner Stefan Kofler. His team, led by restaurant manager Donatello Abbruzzese, ensures perfect service; the breakfast buffet and menus are sensational, and the pizzas are unique. The hotel's central location, surrounded by greenery and orchards with mountain views, is a dream.
josef 28. May travelled as 0 + We spent a fantastic week at the Bio-Hotel Pazeider. Large, clean rooms, excellent food, a fantastic view of Merano, a very good wine list with expert advice, and simply lovely people. The wellness area leaves nothing to be desired, and you can rent an e-bike at a reasonable price – we highly recommend it.
Karin 26. May travelled as 0 + I was completely satisfied during my short four-day stay in May of this year. The hotel certainly meets the organic standard. I loved the location and amenities, which were very tastefully and comfortably furnished. I found the wellness and sauna area very inviting. Everything I needed was there. A fantastic view of Merano and the attentive, friendly service rounded off my pleasant stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel, which met my expectations.
Anra 24. May travelled as Young couple + The suite on the top floor is exceptional! Superb and simply perfect. The view is beautiful. Only the noise of the highway passing below in the valley floor is unmistakable. A shame. However, on the ground floor terrace, the noise is barely audible. Spending time there is enjoyable. What we didn't like so much were the outdoor and indoor pools. Despite the summer temperatures, we didn't see anyone in either of them. They also didn't look particularly inviting. The breakfast was plentiful, beautifully presented, and left nothing to be desired. We were mostly served by a young lady who spoke neither Italian nor German, but English! Overall, the dinner wasn't as good as one would expect from a 4.5-star hotel. I would like to mention the pizza from the wood-fired oven. The location outside of Marling wasn't as great as expected, partly because the Vinschgau Railway is out of service.
Cathleen 07. May travelled as Young couple + Super friendly staff. Very personal, absolutely clean! Wonderful relaxation in all areas! The food is a highlight, as is the wellness area. The rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished. You immediately feel at home! An absolute must for relaxation and peace!
M. 19. April travelled as 0 + The reviews vary widely. The first two days were a disaster. The following days were a highlight thanks to the friendly waiters. Head waiter Donatella is definitely a favorite: friendly and attentive, she fulfills every wish.
Wolfgang 19. April travelled as 0 + When I read some of the negative reviews, I feel like I stayed at a completely different hotel. We stayed at the hotel over the Easter holidays and can only say that everything was absolutely perfect. Very nice owner, friendly staff, very good food, a fantastic breakfast buffet with lots of fruit, a lovely family room, a garage for bicycles, and a small but nice spa area. We thoroughly enjoyed our cycling holiday and can highly recommend this hotel.
Daniele 15. April travelled as 0 + Optimal!!
Enrico 24. October travelled as 0 + We stayed there for a few nights and opted for half board and Suite Meranblick. The hotel is surrounded by apple plantations. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Large sauna and SPA area. At the restaurant, ask to be seated at the front and not at the back so you can enjoy a great view over Merano and Tirolerdorf (on the opposite side of the valley). The staff was very kind and ready to help. Large breakfast selection. Great coffee machines at the reception and for breakfast. There are also 3x EV charging stations. On the less positive side: (i) hotel is on the shady side of the valley and by 3pm we were on the shadow while the opposite valley had sun till 5pm; (ii) dinner selection somewhat limited; (iii) our room was facing the train crossing which has a very unpleasant bell that rings for every train, and the first one is at 5:42am...
Christoph 24. October travelled as 0 + Great hotel, very attentive staff, everyone always helpful. Even if you need the manager's tools, help is available in a matter of minutes. The rooms are top-notch, the pizza (which you can choose from) is very good, and the vegetarian and meat dishes are excellent. Location, view...simply everything! I'll be back!
Stefan 05. October travelled as Young couple + Very good and modern organic hotel. Nice staff and very good food. Everything fresh and of course organic. Dinner is chosen at breakfast and you can coordinate the order and portion size with the staff. There is a lot to choose from at breakfast and you can even make your own filter coffee. Very good wine seminar that I can only recommend. Various courses such as yoga, meditation or 5 Tibetans are offered. I didn't use the swimming pool, pool, SPA area and sauna and therefore can't say anything about them. There is also medical care in the house if the worst comes to the worst. The hotel is located in the middle of apple orchards and therefore in the middle of nature. We had our small poodle with us and were able to go for a short walk in the morning and evening on the paths between the apple orchards. Personally, I don't like the orientation of the hotel, with the expressway in the valley on one side and the regional train on the other side. But the rooms are very modern and also have soundproof windows so you don't hear anything. Only when you sit on the balcony and enjoy the view of Meran do you hear the monotonous noise of the expressway. All in all, the positive aspects outweigh the negatives and the hotel can only be recommended.
Marco 17. September travelled as 0 + Highly professional, with a breathtaking view. Recommended for a relaxing and wellness break.
Adam 14. September travelled as Family with smaller children + Everything was top-notch! The stay, the hotel's peaceful location amidst orchards with views of Merano, the room, the service, the waitstaff, and above all, the outstanding cuisine with its consistently surprising dishes. I highly recommend this hotel!
Pascal 16. August travelled as Young couple + We stayed at the Pazeiderhof in Marling for 4 days at the end of July 2021 and booked the hotel at relatively short notice – many other hotels were already fully booked. The name "organic and wellness hotel" particularly appealed to us. However, I would like to say upfront that I had expected something different about the wellness hotel. The indoor pool, the sunbathing lawn, and the outdoor pool are unfortunately a bit dated and somehow don't really fit in with the rest of the hotel. The sauna, massage, and beauty area, on the other hand, were very nice! In general, it seems that the hotel has been continually expanded and added to, and this is clearly visible. In our opinion, this wasn't always well-executed! + We had a really beautiful and large room in the "older" wing, with a large whirlpool in the room and a veritable "love meadow" ;-) The room is truly amazing, and the cleaning of the rooms was always perfect! Compliments! By the way, you can hardly hear the nearby railway line! + The breakfast was perfect. A truly diverse range of organic products on the buffet, excellent coffee, and delicious egg dishes to choose from. The dining room is also beautifully situated with a stunning view toward Merano. The evening menu was a bit limited in terms of quantity, but the selection was good and, in some cases, interesting. + Overall, very friendly service staff. The ladies in the spa area were particularly courteous and professional. - In the evening, you were supposed to arrive for half board by 8:30 p.m., after which the staff wanted to call it a night. That was the biggest drawback! As soon as dessert was "finished," they were already clearing up, and unfortunately, there was no chance of a relaxing drink at the bar or in the beautiful garden afterwards :-(
Melany 03. August travelled as 0 + After a strenuous six days crossing the Alps, we were delighted to arrive at such a lovely hotel. The wellness area is beautiful and very modern. The staff in the wellness area, housekeeping, and especially the restaurant staff were very friendly. Unfortunately, we weren't very satisfied with the fake friendliness at the reception on both days and felt a bit let down. We were able to answer our own questions online and will therefore look for a different hotel next time.
Arno 02. August travelled as 0 + Cool shed
Hinreiner 07. July travelled as 0 + Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this modern hotel has everything you need. A beautiful location above Merano. The service and friendliness of the staff are outstanding. The cuisine is second to none. This is what a vacation should be like.
P. 29. June travelled as 0 + We stayed at the hotel for 10 days. The food was delicious (the evening menu was creative and varied). A paradise for coffee lovers. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped. We were thrilled by the great staff and the excellent service. We would gladly return.
Mailin 05. January travelled as 0 + POSITIVE (NEGATIVE below): Lisa at the reception is very friendly and helpful, good e-bikes for rent (€25), delicious dinner, view over Merano and the mountains, large room, nice lawn, delicious coffee for breakfast, organic products, well-insulated windows, the shutters provide good shade, close proximity to the beautiful Waalweg (Waal path). NEGATIVE: Poor and unloving breakfast buffet, often unfriendly and inattentive service in the restaurant, everything around it was cleared away by 9 p.m. during dinner (not a great atmosphere for the other guests!), no attention to detail throughout the hotel, north side of the mountain and therefore no sun after 3:30 p.m. (September)!, street noise!, photos on the website are misleading (e.g., proximity to the highway is not clear), the fitness room is very poor for a "wellness hotel." CONCLUSION: We only stayed two nights instead of the four we booked.
Markus 18. October travelled as Young couple + At the beginning of October, we booked a "Double Room Mountain View" at the Pazeider Bio- und Wellnesshotel. The hotel was very busy at that time, which we immediately noticed upon arrival. Some cars were parked in the middle of the apple orchard, as all parking spaces were completely full. We received a very friendly welcome at the reception. Due to the parking situation, we were assigned a free garage parking space for the first night (normally, this costs €10 per night). Since we had completed the online check-in in advance, the actual check-in was quite quick, and we were able to go straight to our booked room. Unfortunately, we immediately discovered that most of the windows offered a view of the parking lot instead of the promised mountain view. We felt very uncomfortable due to the direct view into the room from the parking lot and the resulting lack of privacy. After asking the friendly receptionist whether a room swap would be possible, we were offered a "Double Room Merano View" for an additional charge. The room had a beautiful view over the apple orchard toward Merano. It was very clean, modern, and spacious. Although a railway line runs directly behind the hotel and State Road 38 passes relatively close to the hotel, the room was pleasantly quiet. We deliberately chose this hotel because of its designation as a "wellness hotel" and the outdoor pool advertised on the website: "Our outdoor pool is 10 x 6 m and is heated." However, along with other hotel guests, we had the unpleasant experience of knowing that you have to be very hardy to use the outdoor pool at this time of year. We were told that although the pool was heated, it was solar-heated. Due to the autumnal weather, the heating was no longer effective, so the pool was essentially unusable. The indoor pool, an alternative to the outdoor pool, had a pleasant water temperature. Unfortunately, it didn't invite relaxation. For one thing, the air in the pool was very oppressive, and for another, several swimmers were swimming there every evening, doing their laps in the crawl. We also didn't get to enjoy a relaxing massage. Upon check-in, we were informed that all time slots were fully booked during our stay. Therefore, it is recommended to book a massage when booking the hotel. Pazeider stands for organic and sustainability. If that's important to you, this hotel is the right place for you. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and of high quality. The organic-certified quality certainly influences the drink prices, which were rather high (Spritz/Hugo €5.70, beer (0.5l) €5.90). Sustainability is reflected in the portion sizes of the four-course meal. The portions are quite small, and the side dishes are skimped on. Even though the menu indicates that you should ask for seconds if necessary, this is a rather unpleasant hurdle that you're reluctant to overcome. Sustainability also has an impact at breakfast. Although breakfast is served until 10:30 a.m., the buffet is hardly refilled after 9:30 a.m. The buffet is very extensive, offering muesli, croissants, cheese, sausage, and South Tyrolean speck, which you just have to pick up in good time. You can also order egg dishes from the wait staff. The service in the restaurant is very good to mediocre. We were always served very friendly and courteously, but if you're unlucky, you might have to wait an hour for coffee at breakfast. If organic food and sustainability are important to you, the Pazeider is the right place for you. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this hotel to anyone who, like us, is looking for wellness and relaxation. Our conclusion: The value for money wasn't right for us.
Andreas 13. October travelled as 0 + Despite the COVID-19 restrictions, it was a wonderful stay! Those with a bit of flexibility in their time management can definitely have the sauna or pool to themselves even if the hotel is fully booked! The food was excellent and the wine seminar was very informative!
André 12. October travelled as Young couple + My wife and I stayed at Hotel Pazeider for eight days at the beginning of October 2020. We felt very comfortable there and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room (double room with Merano view) was modern, spacious, and had a wonderful atmosphere. The individual fresh air ventilation in the room was perhaps a major factor in our well-being; this was also an important consideration when booking during the COVID-19 pandemic. The only thing we missed in the room was a coffee machine, but a classic capsule machine like you find in many hotels doesn't really fit with an organic and eco-friendly establishment. So we were able to easily overlook the lack of a coffee machine in the room. The hotel itself was very clean and stylishly furnished, and the staff was very friendly. A special mention goes to the very dedicated owner, Stefan Kolfer, who accompanied us on a round of golf – where else do you receive such attention?! We were absolutely delighted with the quality and taste of the food. It was fantastic. It started at breakfast, where we were so impressed by the bread alone that we had the supplier deliver several loaves to take home with us on our departure day. Dinner was also excellent, with all the courses perfectly coordinated. The quality of the food and ingredients was immediately apparent, and every bite was a new delight. The only thing that took some getting used to was the (small) portion size. This reflects the hotel's strong commitment to sustainability and avoiding food waste. The small portions aren't really a problem, as the menu encourages you to ask for seconds if needed, which we did three times. However, you do have to adjust to this unusual approach. On most days, though, the portion size was just right. And if not, as mentioned, it's no problem. We were also impressed by the wines on offer, especially since the owner regularly conducts wine seminars to introduce his guests to the regional wines. My only slight disappointment: the whiskies and rums on offer weren't to my taste. But that's perhaps not something one can necessarily expect in South Tyrol, and in that case, one should consider trying the regional fruit and nut brandies. All in all, the points of criticism mentioned were insignificant and are included more for the sake of completeness. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation at Hotel Pazeider and will definitely return. Our thanks go to the entire hotel team! You made it possible for us to have a wonderful and relaxing vacation during these uncertain (COVID-19) times! Thank you!
Alexander 19. September travelled as 0 + Fantastic view of Merano, very good food.
C. 10. September travelled as Family with smaller children + Eight of us visited the Pazeider in September 2020. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation there and were especially impressed by the dinner. Unfortunately, breakfast only offered one soft and one hard cheese (there might be room for improvement here). Apart from that, we would especially like to praise the staff, who were absolutely fantastic. From the chambermaids to the reception and the service staff in the restaurant, they were absolutely fantastic – 10 out of 10!
Tobias 05. September travelled as 0 + Awesome hotel and very good service. We stayed there for 6 nights and enjoyed the food and the view. If you have the time to, you should join the coffee seminar with the chef.
Stephan 05. September travelled as 0 + This was our second time here and we'll definitely be back. A very nice organic hotel with excellent food.
Natascha 08. August travelled as 0 + A superbly run hotel, clean rooms, a fantastic wellness area, and very friendly and attentive staff! We'd love to come back
Renato 26. July travelled as 0 + We really enjoyed the place, as well as the philosophy. The wellness treatments are also highly recommended, and the staff is very friendly.
Matthias 20. July travelled as Family with smaller children + We stayed with our two children for a week in a suite overlooking Merano. What can we say: - The hotel's location is perfect, and a car is practically unnecessary. - The food is excellent and varied, and for us, the most important reason to stay at the Hotel Pazeider again. There was always something for our children to enjoy. - The other amenities, including two pools, were very pleasant for us and our children, and more than sufficient even for a longer stay. - We found all the staff, including the manager, very friendly, even towards our children. For lack of a better word: It didn't seem forced, but natural. The Hotel Pazeider is highly recommended, and we will be back.
Andrea 15. July travelled as Young couple + This was our fifth visit to the Pazeider and we were curious to see what it would be like in the time of coronavirus. We were among the first guests after the reopening. We didn't have to wear masks in the hotel and were able to move around freely as usual, including using the pool. The only difference from before: instead of a salad and breakfast buffet, both were served at the table this time. The staff was, as usual, very friendly and accommodating, and all our requests were met. The food has always been very good, but this time we found the quality and taste to be even better. It couldn't be better. The wine selection is also excellent. The value for money is very good; we give it five stars out of conviction. The ten days were once again very relaxing for us. We will definitely be back. Best regards, and once again, thank you and compliments to the entire Pazeider team.
TheSmashr7 22. February travelled as 0 + Delicious food, upscale atmosphere, beautiful indoor and outdoor pools
Yuu 09. January travelled as 0 + I loved it, clean, cozy, incredible views, and great service
Johanna 06. November travelled as Young couple + We spent a wonderful honeymoon at the Pazeider. The Inflagranti Suite was very nice, and we enjoyed using the whirlpool a lot. The friendly, attentive service deserves special mention. Thank you very much!
Thomas 17. October travelled as 0 + Best hotel in a long time, we go there regularly! The food is top-notch, and the staff is attentive and friendly. A fantastic view of the valley. The wine tasting is highly recommended; the owner explains and tells us a lot about the origins and characteristics of the wines.
M. 09. October travelled as 0 + A very nice vacation Very good food and lots and lots of organic produce
W.A. 15. September travelled as 0 + A lovely organic hotel with both old and new buildings. Good food, friendly staff, and a well-stocked bar.
Kathrin 14. September travelled as 0 + A nice, small, and intimate organic hotel. Friendly staff, good food, and top-notch spa treatments. The hotel, which is relatively close to the highway, is surrounded by apple orchards. Merano is about a 20-minute drive away by public transport. The rooms: The suites are spacious and comfortable with fantastic views. Unfortunately, you can hear the highway from the balcony. Spa: It's ideal for a quick evening spa visit. However, the complex is too small to spend the whole day here. Food: Generous breakfast buffet (suggestion for improvement: more variety in the fruit selection). Creative and beautifully presented dinner with friendly service and excellent wine selection!
Cristian 05. September travelled as 0 + Good
Cheese 22. August travelled as 0 + Great hotel. Exceptional food. Spectacular views. Passive-cooled rooms, brilliant.
Peter 17. August travelled as Family with smaller children + We felt very comfortable at the Hotel Pazeider. The staff was extremely friendly in all areas. The wellness area with a pool was very nice. The food was very special every day, very tasty, and varied. Even our 7-year-old son's (special) dinner requests were fulfilled (and that's not always easy :-) ). The hotel's location is wonderful, with views of Merano and Tirolo. We also liked the pleasant room climate (superb ventilation system). The hotel has good transport links (8 minutes to the train station), so we hardly had to move our car. The only drawback was that parking was sometimes a bit difficult.
Otmar 10. August travelled as 0 + Super friendly staff. ...again and again
Ines 21. July travelled as 0 + Lots of light but also lots of shadows. If organic matters more than anything, this is the place for you. The leaf lettuce isn't even on the buffet because the few suppliers don't have lettuce when it's hot. And the cloudy organic beer tastes... well... not like you're used to. For the consumer, this is associated with one or two disadvantages in terms of taste, or in terms of price, because there is no bottle of wine for less than 28 euros. And that's what you can get cheaper across the whole of South Tyrol. But as I said, organic has to be paid for and that's fine as far as it goes. The half board offered was very good craftsmanship, great meat, the composition was sometimes rather experimental. You have to be a lover of less spicy foods and appreciate Jerusalem artichokes, sweet potatoes and parsley roots. Our "favorite" was lemon ricotta (the stuff curdles very crumbly) with yellow pepper cream (unidentifiable) with a breadstick wrapped in bresaola. You could eat the slice of bresaola. About the hotel: Great location on the slope, also the restaurant and the terrace in front of it with a great view of Meran. Not the outbuilding, which you can't see anywhere on the internet. Limited visibility there. The large Merano Classic Suite turns out to be a 90s-chic holiday apartment on the ground floor. And be careful: If you arrive with a small child or dog, you will end up having dinner in a shabby tented annex instead of in a chic restaurant. The same food but no eating culture. Nonetheless very good staff. We wouldn't come back, even to the main house for around 220 euros including half board in a double room that's way too dark.
Johannes 01. July travelled as 0 + Nice hotel, beautiful view, and the food was soooo delicious. You can hear the river nearby at night, but otherwise everything was good.
Elias 21. June travelled as 0 + Great wellness area
Ich 19. June travelled as 0 + Great hotel with friendly staff. Tesla drivers can even find a destination charger here! Top!
Claudia 05. June travelled as 0 + A very pleasant, family-run organic hotel nestled in the heart of apple orchards. A beautiful beauty and wellness area with excellent treatments provided by professional staff. The staff throughout the hotel are particularly friendly and competent. The rooms are comfortable, some featuring designer furniture and cooled by a specially designed ventilation system. The garden, with its outdoor pool and beautiful plants, is also very nice. The hotel is located near the Marling train station and is therefore very well connected to Merano. Electric bikes and even a Tesla are available for rent. Also worth mentioning is the balanced organic cuisine.
birgit 04. June travelled as 0 + We spontaneously decided on the Pazeider and were not disappointed. Irene was extremely friendly and helpful when we made our reservation over the phone, and she continued to provide us with tips throughout our entire stay. The panoramic suite with a beautiful view of Merano and the mountains was truly fantastic. The food, both quality and preparation, was simply a delight! Once again, a huge compliment to the kitchen! The service was simply outstanding! Extremely friendly and very attentive staff! We felt very comfortable and welcome. This certainly won't be our last stay at the Patzeider. Many thanks again to the entire team and to Mr. Koffler.
Michael 12. May travelled as 0 + Excellent food, attentive and friendly staff, and a beautiful, quiet room with a magnificent view of Merano contributed to 10 wonderful days in Merano. This was our third stay and probably won't be our last.
Justin 06. March travelled as 0 + A beautiful hotel in a lovely location (in an apple orchard). If you really value good food, this is the place for you. The pool was neither too cold nor too warm. The rooms were also very nice. Furthermore, it's very close to many hiking trails. It's just a shame that it rained so much during our stay.
Myrtha 12. September travelled as 0 + Pazeider, Marling
Florian 31. August travelled as 0 + Always my pleasure
Verena 27. August travelled as 0 + Great cuisine, great location!
Roberto 21. August travelled as 0 + Good
roberto 17. August travelled as 0 + Good
Fabio 10. August travelled as 0 + The hotel is really beautiful and well-kept, it is clean, frequented almost exclusively by Germans and Austrians, the cuisine does not live up to my expectations, the staff is very kind and helpful
Tessa 03. August travelled as 0 + A noisy street was right next door, and a regularly running train was on the other side. The uncomfortable beds made it impossible for the children to sleep peacefully. Gluten-free meals had been requested and confirmed, but the difficulties we encountered here were unexpected. A good hotel, I suppose, but nowhere near as good as expected.
Marion 18. July travelled as 0 + ORGANIC AT ITS FINEST - Excellent cuisine, an organic wine cellar, and a perfect wellness area with sauna and pool facilities. Combined with the attentive, friendly service, this hotel is a top organic holiday destination.
Tobi 17. July travelled as 0 + A truly fantastic hotel. The staff is very good, in my opinion. The room was clean and very nice. The hotel is also very well located for golf enthusiasts; there are seven golf courses within 50 minutes. The bartender deserves special mention; don't order drinks from the menu; just let him surprise you.
Markus 10. July travelled as 0 + A very nice hotel, delicious food, and the wine seminar with the hotel manager are highly recommended. The rooms have a sensational view of Merano. The underground parking garage for your beloved pet is first-class.
nils 26. May travelled as 0 + The staff is super nice and takes care of everything. +The organic food is way too expensive. Unfortunately, there's no soda for kids, only apple juice. I think it's stupid!
Gerhard 19. April travelled as 0 + Stylish hotel in a fantastic panoramic location with sweeping views over Merano, the castle, and Tirolo village. Modern, fully equipped rooms and free Wi-Fi. Extremely extensive breakfast buffet, complimentary afternoon buffet, Michelin-starred dinner, a perfect blend of regional and Mediterranean cuisine, a superb appetizer buffet with a huge selection, and a large selection of regional wines. Excellent and very friendly service (the "three sisters" are unbeatable; Mrs. Kofler is the heart and soul of the hotel). Excellent wellness area with several saunas and panoramic views. We have enjoyed coming back for years, even for a short stopover on our way south or on the way home. Even if we didn't book for this purpose, they always make every effort to find a room for us. The hotel is an ideal starting point for hikes and excursions or a visit to Merano. The Vinschgau Railway station and bus stop are easily accessible in just a few minutes. Stephan and Irene at the reception desk will be happy to provide information.
Eduard 01. April travelled as 0 + Great hotel!
Tom 25. March travelled as 0 + A family-run wellness hotel in a stunning location amidst apple orchards with views of Merano. The owners and all staff are very child-friendly and always attentive to their guests. For us, a visit to the Pazeider always feels like coming home. Most rooms have been completely renovated. Good train connections from Marling to Merano.
Andreas 06. February travelled as 0 + A fantastic hotel with a wonderful view of Merano. The rooms are beautifully and stylishly decorated. The staff is very accommodating and child-friendly. Its proximity to the Marlinger Waalweg (Waalweg) and the Vinschgau Railway makes it an ideal starting point for hikes and walks with breathtaking views. We're returning to the Pazeider for the fourth time in a row this summer.
Ornella 07. January travelled as 0 + Beautiful and relaxing
Reinhard 05. November travelled as 0 + As repeat visitors, we felt very comfortable again this time. Modern, quiet rooms, truly excellent yet light cuisine featuring high-quality regional products, motivated staff who anticipated our every need, and genuine hospitality from our host Stefan all contributed to a relaxing holiday. The icing on the cake: a wine seminar (not a sales-driven tasting) with Stefan in the "treasure trove," which helped us better understand regional and international specialties. The value for money is above average, and the "criticism" of a few is incomprehensible. Or, to quote Monika Gruber: "Those who complain about food elsewhere are just as bad at home." In short: We'll be back, keep up the good work!
Philipp 04. November travelled as 0 + The Hotel Residence Pazeider is characterized by very friendly, attentive service, an excellent breakfast buffet with local products, an outstanding dinner menu (5 courses with regional wine pairing), and modern, comfortable rooms. The spa area, while small, offers everything you need, is beautifully laid out, and, above all, very clean. The convenient connection to Merano and the opportunities available in Marling and the surrounding area round out the experience, so that you almost have to look for the time to relax. The value for money is unbeatable. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would like to thank you very much. Based on my experience, I can therefore wholeheartedly recommend this hotel!
iris 06. July travelled as 0 + Spacious, comfortable, and clean rooms. Excellent service. Quality food. Top-notch wellness and treatments. Highly recommended.
U. 27. June travelled as 0 + Family-friendly hotel with stunning views of Merano. Well-connected to public transport...
Bernhard 01. April travelled as 0 + A truly great hotel. The rooms are modern, beautiful, and comfortable. I love the lounge chair. The food was very good. Breakfast wasn't over the top. At lunch, there were complimentary snacks and delicious sweets. Dinner was simply fantastic. The salad buffet would have been enough for me. The portions are finally not too large. Customers' wishes are catered to. The chef knows his craft, and the service, especially when serving, is second to none! The wellness area is also fantastic. The saunas are excellent. The relaxation area is a bit small. The pool is only suitable for a few people, so you have to use it outside of peak hours. Unfortunately, the fitness area is currently being renovated. I will definitely go back.
Carlo 24. August travelled as 0 + A very nice hotel with very friendly service
Paul 24. September travelled as 0 + A welcoming hotel in Marling near Merano. A truly successful renovation, with a truly fantastic spatial concept. Beautiful views of Merano and surrounded by orchards. The food was delicious and varied, with excellent regional specialties. Also worth mentioning was the genuine friendliness and high level of professionalism, both from the host and the staff. We'll be back!
E. 24. September travelled as 0 + A truly beautiful hotel where you feel at home. Everything was very clean. The food exceeded our expectations (3/4-star standard). The location is uniquely beautiful. We highly recommend the hotel.

Andrea 19. November + This is my second time staying at this beautiful property.
