Situated between vines and apple trees and in the immediate vicinity of the spa town of Meran, the Lana golf course is probably one of the most noble in the country.
At the same time, it is one of the few golf courses in South Tyrol that can be played from February to Christmas thanks to the mild climate. The 9-hole course (par 35) is considered pleasant to play, there are hardly any differences in altitude. The course is therefore more than suitable for beginners and older players. But also experts get their money's worth at the Golf Club Lana: due to its length of 2887 m, the course is relatively long, precision and strength are equally in demand.
The golf course is laid out on the estate of the Counts Brandis. The manor building has been converted into a clubhouse with a restaurant, and the castles, fortresses and ruins around the golf course form the historical backdrop for the game of golf.
By the way: Golf was already played in the Meran region in South Tyrol at the beginning of the 20th century, on what is now the horse racing course in the Meran district of Untermais. Golf has a tradition here, just like the many first-class hotels.

Brenner motorway, exit Bozen South, continue on the motorway MeBo towards Meran, exit Lana, follow signs towards the golf course.
