We had a wonderful stay at Villa Padovani at the beginning of September. The villa is near Forte Benedek, which was ideal for us since we were attending a wedding there. We were very satisfied with the breakfast, the suite, and the service, and would definitely recommend the hotel. Excellent location, just minutes from Lazise and Bardolino. Clean rooms and friendly service. They accommodated our request for gluten-free options at breakfast.
The spa and indoor pool are very beautiful and welcoming. My only suggestion would be to be able to use the area in the morning, not just after 4:00 PM, for those who want to relax in the hotel in the morning and go out in the afternoon.

My husband and I are traveling around Europe by car without a specific schedule or plan. In Salzburg we decided to drive somewhere in the Garda area but not right in the middle of the worst tourist centers. After spending days in big cities, we wanted a high-quality place to relax for a few days. We found Villa Padovani by chance and enjoyed it so much that our stay extended to a week. From here it is easy to explore the Valpolicella wine region and Amarone wines as well as the cultural treasures of Verona.
We also spent a few days just relaxing on sun loungers by the pool and in the evening in the hotel's own SPA.
Here, there is no traffic noise or barking dogs disturbing the peace - a warm recommendation!

Between Historic Charm and Unmet Expectations
The setting of Villa Padovani Relais de Charme is undoubtedly evocative: a skilfully restored historic building, promising a top-notch stay. Our expectations, however, were somewhat dashed by several inconsistencies encountered during our stay.
The welcome was kind and courteous, but the strict check-in time, despite our punctual arrival notice, generated some unnecessary anxiety. The property presents itself as a "historic suite home," but the definition seems ambiguous: one would expect service closer to that of an exclusive residence, yet we were informed that it is a bed & breakfast.
The suite, while spacious and welcoming, left us with some concerns: the kitchen was unusable, the television was modest for a room of this level, the toiletries were missing, and the bed was made up of two single beds pushed together, which was rather uncomfortable. The "honesty bar" idea was interesting, even though we didn't use it.
Breakfast, appropriate for the small number of guests, was limited and lacked attention to detail: there were no indications about the foods, and the offerings didn't convey the attention one would expect from a charming establishment.
The spa was the most disappointing aspect: cold and unwelcoming, cramped spaces with only five seats, limited hours, and a rather basic selection of herbal teas and fruit. The difficulty in heating the rooms due to municipal regulations is understandable, but a more proactive approach in offering alternative solutions for guests' comfort would have been desirable.
In conclusion, Villa Padovani Relais de Charme remains an architecturally fascinating location, but the management and services did not live up to expectations or the costs charged. A shame, because the potential for an unforgettable stay is there.

If I had to make a few criticisms:
- The room cleaning staff always came at 10:30 a.m., the time we were returning from breakfast, and asked us to wait until they were finished...
- The soundproofing of the walls between rooms could be improved.
- It's a shame we weren't allowed to use the kitchenette, even though there's no restaurant service and really nothing to eat, or you have to pay for it in addition to the room rate... And there's no restaurant nearby either, which isn't ideal. A microwave would have been useful, but that wasn't available either.
- Spa available, but €20 per person per day.

The gardens are marvelous, immaculately maintained, the park with outdoor pool is wonderful, and in the summer it's a pleasure to spend time here.

What a fantastic hotel complex!
My daughter and I spent 5 wonderful days here. After a long illness, I was able to relax completely. The wellness area isn't large, but it has everything you need. The massage, in particular, was superb and highly recommended! The outdoor area (a large garden with fruit and olive trees and a wonderful pool) is perfect for strolling and swimming.
The villa is located a bit inland. However, the lake is a 15-minute drive away. We even took the public bus to Verona without any problems.
The room was superbly maintained, modern, and the bed was incredibly comfortable!
There's a not-too-large but well-selected breakfast buffet, which is lovingly prepared!
The service? Simply outstanding. The staff has a friendly word for every guest, caters to each individual, and is friendly and helpful.

We had an amazing stay at Villa Padovani! Our room was perfect - very comfy beds, the mini kitchen was good for some of our own drinks / snacks for by the pool, and the AC was great during the Italian summer heat. Breakfast was lovely in the courtyard, and the whole property is beautifully maintained. The staff were amazing and helped us with everything we needed, including great restaurant recommendations nearby and help with making a reservation.
The villa is also in a great location close to Lake Garda but away from the crowded, touristy hustle and bustle. It was the perfect long weekend getaway for us and we would recommend a stay here to anyone!

This is a beautiful converted aristocratic villa. Think villa with suites rather than full service hotel. The welcome and service is charming. Our second floor suite was well equipped with comfortable bed and sitting area, mini kitchen area (no cooking) and bathroom. The garden with small swimming pool is an oasis of fruit trees and olive trees and vines. Breakfast is fresh and excellent. Pastrengo is a modest town inland from lake Garda and away from the swarms of summer tourists elsewhere. It benefits from at least three top class restaurants which are in (medium) walking distance. Stella d’Italia is particularly good. Dinner in the garden watching the sun set over lake Garda was magical. If you’re up for the strenuous walk ristorante Al forte - in an austro Hungarian fort on top of a hill - has wonderful almost 360 views.

It's in a peaceful location between Lake Garda (Lazise is the nearest town) and Verona, yet other places are easily accessible.
The hotel owners are welcoming, and the entire hotel has a very pleasant atmosphere. There are quiet retreats throughout the grounds, and the limited number of rooms makes it even more relaxing.

The spa access should be open until 8 PM; 7 PM is much too early, especially when visiting the region.
The charging station activation needs to be planned for when reception is open, and it closes at 7 PM.
The parking area for charging vehicles is not clearly marked, so people park there even without electric cars.
The route with the numerous gates requiring a keycard is a bit complicated.

Please note that the reception is only staffed from 2 pm on the day of arrival and from 9 am on the day of departure.
Lovely little spa area, beautiful garden with a small pool and sun loungers under the olive trees.
Unfortunately, the air conditioning didn't work during our stay on the first weekend in May, as they hadn't yet switched the villa from heating to air conditioning. Therefore, it was quite warm in the rooms, but bearable.
Breakfast was also good; the buffet was regularly replenished, and while there was sometimes a bit of a wait, it was acceptable. Tea, coffee, and scrambled eggs can be ordered free of charge at the table and are then served.

If you're lucky enough to be greeted by Gianmarco, you'll feel welcome from the very first minute. And that feeling will continue, as the entire facility exudes a sense of coziness and comfort.
Very nice, spacious suite with comfortable beds and a comfortable bathroom.
I deducted one point because the living area was a bit noisy, and you could hear the shower of your immediate neighbors. It would also be nice if the towel dryer could be turned on, for example, to dry damp clothes after a hike in the rain.
But that's complaining at a very high level.
This hotel can be highly recommended.

Suite 1 is very comfortable and tastefully decorated, with great beds, but the bathroom is very small. The service was very attentive, but unfortunately there's no elevator to the upper floors. Breakfast was delicious, and the spa area, including the swimming pool, is only available for a fee. The location is quiet, and Lake Garda is easily accessible by car. The streets and parking spaces are very narrow, but that's typical in such old towns.

It had everything I needed: a minibar, air conditioning, lots of windows, a TV, and we even had a sofa. The olive garden in the villa was amazing, quiet and beautiful, with fruit trees and a pool. The spa area was very chic and clean. We even had a massage voucher. Breakfast was delicious and had everything you could wish for (the croissants, ham, cheese, and tomatoes were very, very good). A very pretty and elegant property in an old estate with just a few rooms. Absolutely quiet. A lovely garden with olive trees to relax in, along with a small but beautifully landscaped pool. Breakfast outside was very pleasant. The rooms were comfortable, spacious, and well-appointed with stylish furniture. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There are several restaurants nearby on foot, and Lazise and Bardolino are only 10 km away.
A very large supermarket is also not far away by car.
The breakfast is okay, but could be improved and doesn't live up to the expectations from the photos.
Our room's bathroom was very thin. You could hear the people in the adjoining bathroom as well as the constant flushing of the toilet.
The indoor parking spaces were very good, but every car had to be very careful when entering to avoid hitting the ground. This definitely needs to be improved.
It's also a shame (although we didn't use it in 36 degrees) that there are extra costs for the spa area included in the daily accommodation costs.

Our room (Suite 2) was quite spacious, but under a sloping roof and a bit too low for taller guests, especially when showering. But it wasn't too bad. There's an honesty bar, although it was quite empty by late evening. It was great that we were able to enjoy a free massage. The spa area is very nice.

Villa Padovani is a gem of a place for a relaxing holiday. The grounds are enormous for the total number of guests that the villa caters for. There is ample privacy in the garden that has a wonderful outdoor swimming pool together with a beautiful SPA area that contains an indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi, a sauna and a variety of treatment rooms. The suites are generously spacious. Ours came with one double bedroom, one single bedroom, a kitchen / living area and a luggage closet. The service was top notch, the breakfast was abundant and Francesca is a lovely host who catered to our every need. The villa is just twenty five minutes by car to Verona or ten minutes by car to Lazise on the Lago di Garda. If I could have given Villa Padovani a rating higher than five star, I would have done so because everything was top notch. Thank you, Villa Padovani and well done. I can't wait to return.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Villa Padovani in Pestrango. The well-maintained garden and inviting pool were the first highlights that caught my attention. The outdoor area is beautifully designed and offers plenty of space for relaxation.

The breakfast offered a wide variety of foods. Both the quality and presentation of the food were satisfactory. From fresh fruit to various baked goods, there was something for everyone's taste.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to use the indoor facilities much. There's also a hot tub, which we personally found far too hot at around 40 degrees Celsius. You couldn't even get in. With a low car, it's more difficult to get in and out of the parking lot. A great base for Lake Garda.
One area for improvement, however, is the curtain in the bathroom of our room, which was upstairs from the breakfast room. There was a small curtain there, allowing a view into the bathroom. Other guests could see you from outside. The hot tub could be a bit less hot.

Really lovely place and great location too. We visited on a work trip so visited many tourist attractions around the area. The hotel itself was calm and relaxing with very friendly staff. We also loved their Corgi, Demi :) Will miss everyone at Villa Padovani and hope to see you soon!

We come to Villa Padovani several times a year. We would like to thank you again this year for the wonderful and very pleasant accommodations. A big thank you to the entire team and also to the Hotel Boffenigo, where we always enjoy excellent food.
The suite is "ALWAYS" in very clean condition. The size of the suite is magnificent, and everything is lovingly crafted. The spa and the outdoor pool are both commendable. Also worth mentioning is the tranquility and the garden with its fruit and animals (deer, chickens, and a tortoise), which are enriching.
We would be happy to return anytime and look forward to the next time.

A very pleasant stay not far from Lake Garda. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the hosts and staff are extremely friendly. Daily maid service is provided, and you can charge your car for a fee (€15 each time). Booking directly through their website is recommended. There are a few restaurants within walking distance, or you can drive to Bardolino. Breakfast is generous and delicious (with homemade cake and fruit from their own garden) from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM. The swimming pool behind the villa is excellent, with a beautiful garden. Air conditioning is available in the suite. The villa is located on a quiet road, with only traffic that needs to be near the villa. We stayed here for two weeks, and that was definitely not too long.

The peaceful surroundings are lovely, with a beautiful garden (with a pool), a few chickens, and a deer. It's adults-only, so you can enjoy the peace and quiet. I never wanted to leave! :-)

A beautiful hotel, lovingly restored, in a quiet location, away from the tourist hustle and bustle of Lake Garda. The welcome was very friendly and warm, and we found a spacious, beautiful room, everything brand new and very clean. There was also a secure place to park and charge our e-bikes. We received a note with restaurant recommendations within walking distance, including one for the hotel's very good restaurant 14 km away with a wonderful view, where they offered a discount.
We enjoyed the buffet breakfast in the beautiful, shady garden; everything was delicious and fresh, including homemade cakes. Very friendly staff even catered to late risers.
In the large garden, there is a pool beautifully integrated into the landscape, more inviting for bathing than swimming.
Here, too, absolute silence, with only the chirping of crickets.
We visited the small, fine wellness area on a rainy day – beautiful and tasteful!
We highly recommend this hotel for guests seeking relaxation and peace.

Beautiful hotel. The hotel is located in a quiet spot, not far from Lake Garda. It has a large lawn with a pool and plenty of loungers.
Animal lovers are also catered for – chickens, a deer, and a dog also live at Villa Padovani.
The owners are super nice and accommodating.

The breakfast selection wasn't huge, but we didn't miss anything. The service was friendly and informal. We felt very comfortable there.
