Golf della Montecchia
It was a group of willing entrepreneurs from Padua in Veneto that in 1988 planned Golf della Montecchia, a championship course designed by the English architect Tom Macaulay. The 27-hole course, with 3 different courses (9 holes of which are pet-freindly), fits perfectly into the landscape of the Euganean Hills.
Over the years the course has been improved several times and nature has played its part by reinforcing the tree population and changing the grass to bermudagrass, so that the course is in optimal condition at any time of the year. Great emphasis has also been placed on the ecological aspect, optimizing resources such as water and electricity.
On the driving range you will find: 20 covered teeing grounds, 2 pitching/chipping greens, 2 putting greens, 1 indoor putting green, 2 practice bunkers, 3 courts with game simulator, lighting for golfing at night and a modern indoor facility with the most innovative equipment for year-round indoor training.
The clubhouse has been converted from an old tobacco drying plant and offers a bar, the restaurant "Montecchia Green", a pro-shop, exhibition and commercial spaces, changing rooms for golfers or for those who use the large summer pool with Jacuzzi and a large solarium. Next to the swimming pool there is also a fitness centre.
