High, higher, highest! The Carezza golf course in the South Tyrolean Dolomites is situated at an altitude of 1,680 m, covers an area of 45 hectares and is definitely one of the most impressive in South Tyrol.
After all, the 9-hole course (par 70) can call Rosengarten and Latemar its neighbours. The scenery is fabulous. This was already appreciated by the English and Austrian nobility, who made their golfing trips to South Tyrol at the turn of the century. Then as now, there is hardly anything more beautiful than swinging a club in the evening sun and watching the alpenglow of the Rosengarten.
But let's get to the facts: Standard here is par 70. The golf course is very hilly and bordered by tall trees and green pastures. The classic mountain course requires precise play. Not for nothing is the golf course also called "The Mountain Beast", it is one of the most technically demanding courses in South Tyrol, with up to 400 metres of altitude to overcome.
Every year, the Carezza Golf Club hosts the Alpine Ironman: a tournament over 54 holes. The playing time is about 12 hours. It's good that you can relax afterwards in the dignified golf hotels on Lake Carezza.

Brenner motorway, exit Bozen Nord, continue for 1 km in the direction of Bolzano, turn onto SS241 in the direction of Val d'Ega and continue to the Carezza Pass and Lake Carezza.
